Pet care experience
As a vet's daughter and lifelong animal lover, I possess care information about many, many types of dogs and animals. I love doing my research on each breed or species of animal so I know how to best interact with them and, most importantly, get them on my side as quickly as possible. You can rest assured that your little ones will be handled by someone with plenty of common sense, an understanding of animals and their behavior as well as someone with a vet on speed dial. I understand that owning a pup is an expense in and of itself and am always flexible regarding drop off and pick up dates as well as my rates. All you need to do is ask! My partner and I love welcoming new dogs into our hearts and home. Each new friend is treated with love, caring, cuddles and cozy places to bundle up in! Our main philosophies are: No News is Good News (meaning I will not be interrupting your vacation but you can feel free to contact me at any time) and Dogs Everywhere! Meaning your special friend is welcomed to explore our home: bed, couches and all! I truly look forward to hearing from you and meeting your loved ones!

We recently needed to leave our young puppy (12 weeks old) with a sitter for a weekend baseball tournament. I chose Atar based on reviews and couldn't have been more pleased with how wonderful everything went. She arranged a meet and greet as she wanted to meet our puppy prior to having him around other dogs that she occasionally watches. Our Tate loved her from the moment he met her. She was very accommodating to our travel schedule and went out of her way to send updates and plenty of pictures. You can tell how passionate and experienced she is in caring for dogs. I recommend her without reservation and will certainly look to utilize her services again should the opportunity arise.
I booked with Atar based on her awesome reviews. I’ve got an older pup who is hit or miss with other dogs. My younger is just A LOT. I was coming into town from NC for my brother’s NY wedding...I didn’t want to chance my dogs not getting along with a third dog (her profile says she will have three). She gave me a very reasonable price to just have my two for the holiday weekend. The intro went great and she sent pictures and updates throughout the weekend and it was great to see that they were having a good time! My older boy celebrated his 11th birthday with Atar and she sent pictures of him celebrating! If I ever need a dog sitter in that area, I will definitely book again!
Atar was a wonderful find when we needed someone to watch our dog for a long two and a half week vacation. She sent regular updates with pictures and kept us informed about the other dog friends staying over. Phoebe was relaxed and in great health when we picked her up. We wouldn’t hesitate to have Atar watch her again.
Atar was so good and welcoming to our dog - I was a little worried she might not want to come home! So glad to have found Atar. We will definitely be returning.

Most important to me is that your special pup gets along with others. While I do sometimes only have one pup at a time, more often than not, when it rains it pours and I do end up with multiple guests at once. There's nothing quite like seeing pups frolic and play with one another but when it comes to aggression, I take that matter to heart. Some pups are great with others and only have 1 or 2 pups they don't get along with. That is fine and for that we can certainly arrange a meet and greet of both pups beforehand. It is the owner's responsibility to inform me ahead of time whether their pet has issues with others. If during their stay aggression is expressed, I will ask owners to relocate at own expense.
