Pet care experience
I have extensive experience with medium and large size dogs who have illnesses/allergies. I previously had a dog who had skin allergies, ear infections, and ended up having lymphoma. I learned a lot as a pet care owner. I have knowledge of medication administration including injections. I do have some experience with smaller dogs as well from previous years. I am patient and will listen, not only to you, but to your pet. And I do my research on all my clients pet breeds as well as getting to know the individual pet and their owners.

Astrid did a phenomenal job walking my dog for several days while I was in town for work. She walked her past the half hour I had booked the walk for, covered a lot of distance to make sure she got plenty of exercise, and even stayed to pet her for a several minutes after the walk. There are a lot of dog walkers on Rover who don't even walk your dog for the full half hour that you book the walk for, and I have never encountered one that went above and beyond like Astrid. So I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker.
Astrid is amazing!!! She is such a dog lover. She’ll do anything she can to make your pup happy. She showed him love, took him on many walks, and even ran with him! She kept me in the loop with everything and for that I couldn’t be more grateful. I would welcome her back into my home in a heartbeat. Bonus: I even had a neighbor text me to let me know how amazing she was!

I don’t have a specific preferences for breeds but I would love to know about your pup before walking them. I do my own research on breeds but I know every dog has their own personality so I’d love to know a bit about them before any walks and even meeting them first too. Things like any triggers or likes or dislikes. Do they pull on the leash? Do they get along with other dogs or cats? Do they chase animals? Are they aggressive or bite when put in certain situations? These are important things for me to know before I take them on walks so they can have a safe fun walk without being put in situations that could make them reactive or leave them with additional triggers:)
A typical day
I love animals and playing with dogs is as fun for me as it is beneficial for them. I love walking it’s my favorite (and easiest) form of exercise but I also could spend all day playing fetch or tug of war with your dog! It’s a great way to burn puppy energy as well!
