I am retired and have owned and cared for dogs, including the occasional cat and a mynah bird, for most of my life. My room mate is a charming young, very friendly Irish water spaniel who is looking forward having your four-legged family member for company and play. We live in a low-rise, dog friendly apartment building overlooking a ravine with varied trails. The apartment has been arranged to provide a play area for furry boarders and brush-ups on basic training. Mostly we will spend our time outdoors, go for long walks and meet and greet other doggie buddies and their owners. At the end of the day we will be fit, tired and happy. In my care your pet will be provided with constant supervision.

I was a little concerned that Max would be stressed at staying overnight. He is older, and because of Covid he used to us being around all the time. The one time we did leave him with someone else recently to go to a Shaw play he seemed very subdued for a day or so after that. But when we picked up Max after staying with Astrid, he was just happy to see us as usual. He even got beef stroganoff.
Nova is always so happy spending time with Astrid
Daisy had a great weekend with Astrid and Fergie - lovely outdoor ravine walks!
Daisy always has a great time staying with Astrid and Fergie. She goes on lots of interesting walks, meets other dogs and neighbours, and is treated like one of the family in Astrid’s home.

We will go for long walks along the Beltline, David Balfour park, Mount Pleasant and, for something a bit on the wild side, explore the Yellow Creek ravine. We will also check out the Rosehill reservoir and other nearby parks. A good time is guaranteed.
