Pet care experience
Hi! I’m Aster and I would love to care for your dog. Much of my experience with animals comes from growing up with them. I’ve had a dog in my family all my life, and with my parent’s most recent adoption have researched puppy rearing! I have a psychology bachelors, so I’m familiar with behavior training. My input has helped our family dog grow up healthily. I currently live with two dogs who I care for in an unofficial capacity, and also care for my parent’s puppy from time to time. I’d be happy to help your dog practice the skills you’ve been teaching. Just tell me what you’re working on and how you’ve been doing it and so I can continue that while you’re away. I have also taken care of dogs for family and friends when they are away, and I love to give them attention. I am an attentive dog sitter, will happily play with a rambunctious pup or love on a couch potato. You can rely on me to respond to your dog’s individual needs.

Aster took fantastic care of my precious fur babies. He took plenty of pictures, communicated quickly and efficiently, and even managed to give one of my tricky kitties his tablet (no small feat, I assure you!). I would hire him again in a heartbeat and can’t say enough good things about him.
Aster is a phenomenal petsitter. He has walked and done drop in visits for our dog, Meerie, on numerous occasions over the past year and always goes above and beyond to make sure she is healthy and happy. He routinely stays longer than we book him for and communicates promptly and effectively with us. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
Aster has been taking care of our rottweiler since he was a puppy. He has always reinforced our training, and been great at understanding our dog's needs. Have your heard of rottie rumbles? (google it) Aster is the only person who consistently makes our rottie purr!

Trust is important to me, so I love to know all your dog’s quirks before house-sitting. In keeping with communication, I can send you photo updates while caring for your pup. I will treat your dog according to your preferences- I have experience with dogs who are well-behaved, have strict commands and structure, as well as dogs who are more stubborn or have more relaxed parenting styles. My one exception is that I will not participate in shock training or punishment for your dog. I am vaccinated and boosted. If you are unvaccinated, we can meet outside. All clients must wear masks during meetings!

Aster can watch in your home
Availability
I work during the weekends at the moment, so I’m available most of the week. I’m happy to take your dogs out for a morning walk or a mid-day play session while you’re at work, for example. I can pet-sit overnight on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
