Pet care experience
Hi! I’m Ashwini! Being a pet owner myself, I know how nerve racking it can be leaving your sweet best friend in someone else’s hands, but no need to worry! I love animals with all my heart and just want to make sure that the animals (and their owners!) are as comfortable and worry free as can be! I’ve had my best friend, a 6 year old Shichon (mix between a Shitzu and Bichon Frise) named Meeka, since he was 8 weeks old. Even though I have a small dog, I still have experience with larger dogs, since I have taken care of and am used to my close friends’ 40 lb Beagle and 130 lb Black Lab mix! I am sweet and caring towards animals and want to make sure they are as happy as possible since they deserve to be! My main goal as a caretaker for dogs is that I provide the owners the feeling that they made the right choice, because that is exactly how I would want to feel leaving my dog in someone else’s hands!

Ashwini is very loving and caring person who loves dogs. She has an adorable little dog of her own, so she’s very comfortable with walking and taking care of dogs. She also pet sits and walks dogs for family friends while they’re on vacation. She enjoys playing with dogs and will be sure get them lots of exercise while they’re on walks with her!

At home, I am in charge of walking, feeding, bathing, and the daily grooming of my dog. My first priority when meeting dogs for the first time is to make sure they are comfortable with me first, then I move towards creating a playful environment for them!

I do not have any breed preferences, however, I would like to know the weight and size of the dog, just so I can have an idea of what my responsibilities would be like! I would also like to know the temperament of the dog, that way I can make sure I act accordingly and don’t scare or anger the dog.
A typical day
If there is a specific route that owners’ would like me to take their dog on when we go for walks, I’d be happy to follow them! As for fun activities, I can play different games, such as tug-of-war and fetch, and I can even try teaching the dog tricks! For example, i’ve taught my dog how to sit, lay down, twirl, jump, speak, whisper, high five, and search for which hand the treat is in!

I am currently working part time at a hospital, so I had a good amount of availability! I am free before 2 pm on most weekdays and weekends.
