Pet care with vet tech knowledge
Pet care experience
I grew up with cats and rode horses as a kid, have had dogs and horses since 2005, & have been pet sitting since 2015. In the last decade I have also been a vet tech, worked in a few kennels, did some grooming, & graduated with my associates in Animal Care. I currently have three dogs of my own & have been a dog mom since 2016. I especially love helping older pets or those with mobility issues get around easier.
Reviews
Ashton was a huge help for me and my two dogs. I live alone currently and have been working far away so I would not have been able to do it without her. She did a great job getting the dogs some time outside during the day and was great with my youngest dog who is extremely shy and afraid of people.
I highly recommend Ashton for all your pet sitting needs. She's knowledgeable, super sweet, my 3 dogs love her, easy to work with, and helped out on very short notice. I will definitely hire her again and again! Thank you Ashton!!
Ashton was wonderful, making sure to provide timely communication and photos of each visit. Ashton demonstrated sensitively to each dog’s needs and personality, and our dogs enjoyed her company. We enjoyed the peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. We appreciated her conscientiousness and reliability! She followed our requests while also demonstrating adaptability for each visit, including changes in weather, schedule and the temperament of each of our three pups. We will definitely be using Ashton’s services again!
Ashton was amazing! Great communication with us while we were away and took great care of our dogs. Will book again in the future!

I will always suggest a meet and greet so you can show me exactly how your pet likes to be greeted and how you’d like them to be treated and left at the end of my visit. For safety I like to double leash or use a harness for those without reliable recall if out for a walk. I’d rather do a walk where they get tons of time sniffing then make them heal the whole time. I’m happy to practice skills during my visit that you’ve been working on with them. Otherwise I try to use my time with them to decompress but also use their senses. If I feel they’re bored then I bring treats along to practice exercises like sit to stands or back ups. Sometimes even tossing treats in the yard for them to find is mentally exhausting. With recurring walks I am able to really get to know them and what they enjoy and I try to bring more value to the walks each time with that knowledge.

• what vet should I go to for an emergency & what vet do they go to for regular care • do you want me to have an emergency contact in case I can’t get ahold of you • any medical conditions (current and past) & any medications/supplements that they are on • do they have a recall • how are they with other dogs • does anything in particular scare/upset them • do you prefer to walk them on a leash or harness • do they have any allergies
A typical day
I am only offering boarding and doggie daycare on the weekends due to my dog walking schedule during the week. I do have a dog room with a daybed, couch, love seat, and dog beds to hang out in while I’m home.

I am currently doing this full time and I’m always open to messages if I look unavailable on the calendar. I do work part time at a kennel but typically when I don’t have bookings.
