I've been called a "Dog-Whisperer"
Pet care experience
At any given time, while growing up, my household had 3 dogs and 2 cats. My father would pick up strays and I'd take care of them, train them, and make sure they had their shots and nutritious feeding schedules. I don't have a dog for myself nowadays, but I am everyone's resident dog- and/or housesitter - friends, friends of friends, family, etc. I've cared for Silky Terriers, multiple German Shepards, hyperactive retrievers, territorial Poodles, food protective, and ailing older dogs that need diaper changes or have a vision and hearing loss. I just enjoy being around dogs and caring for them. :)

Ashma was absolutely amazing; Hunter and Mezzie loved her! She was aLeo great about giving updates and adorable pictures/videos. I never had to worry about them, and I definitely plan on having them stay with her in the future. Overall, I would highly recommend Ashma!
Highly recommend Ashma! Our pup is anxious with new sitters, but he had a great time. She really is a dog whisperer! We got a lot of great photos and videos of Mikey while we were away. Very responsive and professional. Mikey will definitely visit Ashma again!
Ashma takes amazing care of my babies every time she comes to stay. She makes sure to take care of them the same way I do and it shows! They love her to bits and are always excited to see her when she arrives. 14/10; would recommend.
Ashma always takes great care of my pup Tofu. She sent pictures daily and my little guy always looked so happy. I will definitely rebook soon!

I listen and try to mimic how the owner cares for their pet. It's important to make the pet feel at ease this includes spending extra bonding time together when we are first getting to know one another so that they feel comfortable. Playtime/ attention during the day is also important and needs to happen multiple times a day.

I would like to know about your pet's temperament, special preferences and needs, and schedule (feeding, walking, medication, etc.). I would also love to know anything that you think is worth sharing.
A typical day
Depends on what your pet wants to do. Dolores and Dobouce Park are close by. I'd be happy to take them to play there! If the dog likes long walks, I'm down! Stay at home and cuddle or play indoors? Sounds lovely :)

Availability
I work from home on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and am generally open to pet setting on the weekends. My schedule is flexible enough to allow for boarding and for breaks to parks. Both Dolores Park and Dubose Park are within a 15 minute walk or less. I also work in a pet friendly office where I go into work on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you dog is well behaved, I would also be willing to take them into work on my longer work days.m
