Ashlynn has been dedicated to animals and the veterinary profession from an early age due to the influence of having a mother who is a veterinary technician, animal behaviorist, and now animal science teacher. She was raised in a home where her mother worked with a lot of exotic species, not just domestics so her curiosity for wild or the unusual was met with enthusiasm. She has been able to learn how to not just exercise or the basics of cleaning and feeding, but fundamentals of behavior and training, medicating (including administering pills or shots), bathing, nail trims, and detecting potential problems before they arise. She has demonstrated her natural ability for animal behavior with animals who were otherwise hesitant toward others, but thrived with her, including bird rescues, reptiles, fish, and other species. What she does not know she wants to learn enthusiastically and with total heart for her commitment to the animals and it shows in their ability to be comforted and confident with her. It is going to be exciting to see where she takes these natural talents into the future with her college and career goals.
