Pet care experience
Hello pet owners! I’m a first year student at Lake Forest College (go Foresters!) and am studying biology in hopes of later furthering my education by going to Veterinary School. I love animals and have a 6 month old male puppy (Weimaraner/Vizsla mix) and 2 cats at home. Prior to my puppy I had a female Vizsla who lived to be 10. I’ve had many shadow hours at a local vet clinic in my hometown and volunteered for my local animal shelter as well. I have experience house sitting for a neighbor as well as pet sitting for them. I’ve pet sit for dogs, cats and a bunny. I also have a little experience with snakes! My past jobs include Lifeguarding and giving swim lessons. At Lake Forest College I swim on their competitive team and enjoy going for walks into town and down to the beach!

Ashlyn has been great with my dog, Bentley. She takes him for walks and spends time playing with his toys. She is always quick to respond to me and has been so flexible with scheduling changes. I have been very happy with Ashlyn and would highly recommend her.
Ashlyn clearly loves animals so much, and this makes it so easy to leave mine with her any time I go out of town. She watches both my dog and cat and follows all of my crazy, detailed requests. She also understands that what my animals usually need is just someone to pay attention to them when we aren’t home, and she does a great job because she loves doing it! She’s also great about communicating with us while we’re gone, which my family so appreciates.
Ashlyn is very reliable. She took great care of our two cats and 5 month old puppy. Our pup got sick the night before we left town, Ashlyn took him to the vet and gave his meds to him while we were gone. She gave us frequent updates and took amazing care of him (and the cats). I will definitely be calling on her for future pet sitting needs!
Ashlyn is very responsible and has had great experience with animals in her lifetime. She babysat my rabbit and took very good care of her. Ashlyn also has experience with dogs and cats.
