I have dog-sitting (3 years) and personal rescue experience (18 years) with senior dogs, stray dogs, and puppies alike - so I know how to do everything from training tiny pups to giving arthritis shots to those sweet older guys and gals! I can handle barking, whining, accidents, jumping, chewing, escape attempts - whatever it is your dog does that you’re worried about, don’t be! I’ve done it all. Travel in peace knowing there is nothing I’d rather be doing caring for furry friends, so I’ll give them all the attention they’re used to (and you’ll get daily picture updates and communication of course, because that’s what I want when I’m away!) Once or twice a year I have to leave MY pets/household alone with a sitter for a week at a time, so I know exactly how it feels and exactly how important it is for you to know your pet is well cared for and relaxed - so you can focus on your travels without any anxiety about how the family member you had to leave behind is doing!

I understand the importance of safety and trust, so your dogs will be carefully attended to during any potty breaks, walks, or trips outside. I will not socialize your pets with other pets. I will also be careful with your house - I have never lost an owner’s key, neglected to lock up their house, or invited unwanted guests over - you will find your house as safe and clean for you and your pets as when you left.

The most important information for me to have about your dogs, aside from medical information, is specific fears and anxieties, as well as any known history of escape attempts (I have repeat-clients with a dog who jumps clean over his fence, even he has never been lost haha I just need to know what to expect and, as a dog owner who has experience with “runners,” I can handle it.
A typical day
Dogs tend to be overexcited when I first arrive. I understand this and completely expect it. Typically the first thing I do when the owner leaves is play some fetch or tug-o-war or whatever your dogs’ favorite game is and hand out a few treats and lots of pets. After this, the dogs have always settled in very quickly. Dogs get lots of potty breaks/outside time, indoor playtime, tv/cuddle time, and feeding/washing/care time with me!
