MY LIFE IS COVERED IN PET HAIR

Pet care experience

I have been taking care of pets my whole life (cats, aussie shepherds, and aquariums) and currently have Buddy, an adopted 4 year old cat with autoimmune stomatitis (so I am no stranger to giving meds) and a 1 year old corgi named Spud who loves peanut butter and other dogs. I am going through chemo right now so I have a lot of free time while on medical leave from grad school. I would love to walk your dog (or cat!) or drop in for home visits for cats, dogs, and aquariums (feeding, pH checks). I have worked with mice and rats and can check in on rodents too. I am by no means a veterinarian, but I do have my stethoscope handy and have dealt with dogs who were having heart attacks and allergic reactions. I have never had to do CPR on a dog thankfully, but I do know how to give it if needed. If you live in Governor's Gate, I can take your dog to the dog park to play too!

Ashley has always loved pets and dogs especially. She currently has her own, a corgi named Spud who is going through his terrible two's but is a sweet, well trained and well behaved dog that is a breeze to sit for if Ashley is ever out of town. Since we were kids, Ashley was the one in my family to read through the entire Dog Bible book when we got a puppy, and was one of the most active members in caring for and training our family's dog. She also follows multiple dog appreciation Instagram accounts (mainly corgi related) as well as Fiona the Hippo. She loves pets. In high school and college, Ashley also maintained and cared for multiple sea snails and an assortment of fish. She was extremely knowledgeable about cleaning procedures, food requirements, water treatments, and what species would live well together to provide a safe and well kept environment for them. When one of her snails turned out to be pregnant, she even helped find homes for as many as she could. Ashley has always been kind, well-researched, and loving to the animals in her life and would be an extremely positive influence in the animals in other's lives.

My dogs love Ashley! It's a relief to have such a reliable person to take care of them, and they are so glad to see her. She can keep them on track with our commands and even clicker train the new pups! I can't recommend her highly emough.
