Pet care experience
I've owned dogs my whole life and specifically Golden Retrievers since I was 5. I adopted a small Chihuahua-Pug rescue in 2017 that also lives with our current Golden. I've trained both of them from puppyhood through adulthood. My current Golden is now 10 and about 75 lbs and my rescue is 7 and 19 lbs. I feel very comfortable with all sizes of dogs, and have cared for two large dogs through their senior years. I have dog-sat for friends and neighbors, from Aussie-Doodles to German Shepherd mixes. I would treat your dogs like they were my own <3

I have known Ashley for many years now and she is one of the most emotionally intelligent, communicative, and thoughtful people I know. She has cared for my (needy) dog for several days at a time and I always come back to a happy and healthy pup. She has been around dogs her entire life, so she is good at reading their body language and responding accordingly. I would recommend Ashley to look after any dog!
Ashley is a trusted neighbor and friend. I've known her for over a decade and can attest to her thoughtfulness and love for animals. She has two adorable family pets of her own which I've known since they were babies (they're living a very happy San Francisco lifestyle). Ashley is my number one call when I need help walking or looking after my Boots. She shows up on time, every time, and goes over the top for Boots comfort (walking her on her usual walk around the neighborhood and feeding her a specific diet). I would not hesitate to hire Ashley to look after your furry family members, you will not be disappointed.

While I don't currently offer boarding, I feel very comfortable with adapting to other owners' and their pets' needs for best care practices in your homes. I feel comfortable performing whatever activities your pet needs to feel the most loved. I would care for your pet like my own, but I would not presume that every pets' needs are the same. I will follow specific instructions that pertain to your pets to the best of my abilities. If there are any extenuating circumstances, I would alert you right away to be able to proceed the best way possible, with your pets' safety and wellbeing as the main priority.

Let me know if your dog has any specific needs, and I'll be happy to accommodate/discuss those ahead of time. I don't have a preference for any particular dog breed -- I love them all, big, medium, and small!
A typical day
I love going on walks and hikes with dogs! I live right by Golden Gate Park so I have a ton of experience with taking my dogs to the park. I've also taken my dogs to other dog-friendly locations around San Francisco, like Crissy Field, Lafayette Park, Stern Grove, and on hikes around the Bay Area. I can also teach your dogs new tricks (sit, stay, down, roll over, spin, etc).
