Hi there! My passion for all animals has shaped my life and career, leading to 20+ years of professional experience working with a variety of animals. Amazing opportunities allowed me to work with a range of exotics including reptiles, amphibians, big cats and other felids, canids, primates, birds, and marine mammals to name a few. I’ve worked in zoos, veterinary clinics, venom extraction facilities, museums and more. Prior to rover, I was a supervisor at a dog daycare, boarding, and training facility, which motivated me to get out on my own and offer clients a more personalized and premium care experience. 🐾 I am an animal trainer, and have used various training techniques and methods over the past 10 years to shape a range of behaviors in a variety of animals. During the summer months, I teach rattlesnake aversion classes for dogs (check us out @ Utah Rattlesnake Avoidance [dot] com). I've worked with dogs and cats of all ages, from newborns to seniors. I have extensive experience with caring for animals that are geriatric, diabetic, or have disabilities, as well as administering oral medications and/or subcutaneous injections. I am very knowledgable and experienced in behavior, body language, calming signals, socializing, and appropriate play. I work with behavioral issues like fear, separation anxiety, reactivity, and aggression. Taking care of animals is a way of life, and every living thing deserves respect and the opportunity to be understood. ❤️ I am insured through PCI and hold a certificate in pet CPR and first aid. I have been caring for Rover fur babies since October 2022 and am blessed that this is now a full time business! Providing owners with peace of mind through quality care and companionship to their animals is what fills my cup everyday. My husband is an evolutionary biologist and home full time. Together, we have over 40 years combined professional experience in animal care and make the best doggie team for those that stay with us. Ashley is fantastic! My dog is an anxious little guy, so it can sometimes be difficult to find a good place for him, but Ashley made him (and us) feel so comfortable! She really understands dog behavior and is really skilled at what she does. She was super communicative and sent so many photos that we loved looking at! My dog had so much fun, he will definitely be missing her! I highly recommend her if you’re looking for a very knowledgeable dog sitter who will take great care of your pup!
Ashley came and feed all my cats, including the ferals, while I was recovering from surgery. She saved me the first week. She swept in and cleaned up all the dishes, wiped down counters, fed them, scooped liter, fresh water and started the dishwasher. Above and beyond. I'm very grateful!

My goal is to alleviate the stress associated with leaving your pets and finding personalized premium pet care. Safety, trust, and happy, healthy animals are my top priorities. I follow routines and literally love all animals as if they are my own! 😍 You will receive daily updates and I love sending good quality photos. Boarding/Daycare - Our girls are getting older and prefer socializing with others that are on the laid back side. They are more people-dogs than dog-dogs, who just care about ball, frisbee, and cuddles. 😬 All pups should understand how to read social cues. My chickens are fenced in, but pups should have a decent "leave it" command. If not, no worries I am happy to train with them while they are here. I want all dogs under our care to be happy, healthy, and comfortable. The environment is catered to individuals based on needs and personalities as no two dogs are the same. They can socialize, play, exercise, have lots of cuddle sessions or relax undisturbed if that is their preference. I have a soft spot for hosting timid dogs and all those quirky seniors! 😬 We have a large fenced-in backyard with plenty of space for play and zoomies. With tons of toys, puzzle feeders, lick mats, kongs, and other items, we offer stimulating mental activities for your dogs during their stay. Our home is also equipped with cameras so we can check in on the pups if we need to step away. We go on adventures or walks daily for good exercise and mental stimulation, and can accommodate both off-leash and on-leash exercise. Our house is located within ten minutes of Millcreek, Tanner Park, Olympus Hills Park, and Neff's Canyon. *If you are interested in off leash training, please let me know!

Please inform me about any food allergies, medications, medical needs, or behavioral issues (i.e. fear, separation anxiety, reactivity, aggression, resource guarding). Also, please let me know if you would like to discuss any training needs! All dogs should be current on vaccinations, particularly Bordatella (kennel cough). I have general information forms available for boarding, daycare and house-sitting to streamline communication and information regarding your animal(s), if you would like. We will discuss in further detail about your pet's care and routine during a standard meet and greet. ☺️ I look forward to hearing from you!
A typical day
I maintain their normal routine and schedule to keep your pets at ease. Whatever they enjoy doing is how we will spend our time together. Everyday we will engage and bond over activities like play, walks, or hiking. I love providing mental stimulation, various sensory and food enrichment activities, training and trust building sessions, and lots of cuddles! If socialization is needed, I can facilitate play dates with compatible furry friends. If your pup likes to go on adventures we can go for outings to the park or hikes. I offer pack hikes and it is so amazing watching dogs run and make new friends along the way! If you are interested in off leash and recall training with your dog, please let me know!

Availability
This is my full time business. Aside from my regular weekly clients, I spend the majority of my time entertaining and exercising the dogs, which is what I love! ☺️ We provide quality, enriching care and cuddles for all that stay with us for boarding and daycare. The dogs rarely are alone since either my husband and I are always home! *During rattlesnake season I am very busy with dog training and we are typically gone 4-5 hours for classes that I hold on the weekends.
