Pet care experience
I currently am a Licenced Veterinary Technician on the route for animal physical therapy and rehabilitation! I have a certification in animal rehab and am willing to do any home care/rehab for any animals post-surgery, pre-surgery, or general strengthening that is needed. I recently worked for 2 years in an Emergency Veterinary Hospital while taking my undergraduate classes in Maine. I worked at a doggy daycare, boarding, and grooming facility in my hometown, for 7 years. I began bathing dogs, then I went to help with daycare and boarding dogs. I can administer medications, insulin, and pill any "difficult" dog or cat. I also understand the different dog and cat behaviors they may show, and act accordingly, whether it may be with me or another animal. I have used medicated baths, de-skunking techniques on animals, as well as giving the dog a nice trim or brush out. I graduated the University of New Hampshire with my associate's degree in Veterinary Technology. I also recently graduated with an Exercise Science degree from Maine.
Reviews
I cannot say enough great thing about Ashley! From the beginning she was very responsive and professional. She met up with us twice to make sure Alma was comfortable with her (as well as us). She checked in daily and I was so at east knowing our sweet pup is was in great hands. I could tell from the pictures she sent our girl was getting spoiled like she should. Thanks Ashley!
Ashley rocks! She watched our two cats for the first time we have left them since adopting them last year and when we got home they acted as though nothing ever happened. We had total peace of mind the whole time we were gone, I can't recommend her highly enough!
Ashley was fantastic! Great communication from the very beginning, super accommodating, very reliable and responsible! She worked with us to set up an initial visit to meet the dogs and horses, updated us on how our pets were doing throughout her whole stay with cute pictures and we really appreciated it! We will definitely book Ashley again! The pets adored her, it was so nice to come home to them being relaxed and happy!
Ashley is worth her weight in gold. Hire her! But not when I need her!

I cannot currently allow animals in my home due to living at home with my parents. But I am willing to stay with your dog to house and dog sit, as well as walk your dog on a leash to go to the bathroom if needed, or if they just need to be let out in the yard. I am very accommodating. I am very good at reading dog behavior, I have been known to make even some dogs that are petrified of me warm up to me very quickly. There hasn't been a situation with a dog that I was unable to handle.
Information Ashley S. would like to know about your pet
I love all animals, no matter the size, age, or any disability. I have taken care of blind, deaf, tripod, and even dogs with severe medical conditions. No dog or cat is too difficult for me. As stated before, my goal is to end up in animal rehabilitation and at-home care with stretches, ranges of motion, weight-bearing and general exercises is something I really look forward to helping with your pets! I am more than willing to have to administer any medications, pills, or insulin needed for your dog and cat!
A typical day
When it comes to walks with dogs, I can go for a leisurely walk, a hike, or go for a jog, depending on their energy needs. I am willing to take your pup to a dog park, or just around the block. I am all about making your dog enjoy their time with me!

Currently, I am working full time Monday through Thursday. I am free for weekend care for at home stays and letting animals out for walks and to go potty.I am more than willing to work with you during the work week just with an understanding my time with your pet on week days would be limited to before I leave for work, during my lunch break (only in a 10 min ride from my work would be possible) and when I am off work. I tend to work 8-12 hour shifts.
