Pet care experience
I’ve been an animal lover all my life. Although I was unable to have pets due to my parents’ allergies, I spent my childhood caring for dogs, cats and rabbits of my neighbors and friends. I lived with cats (including a special needs diabetic cat) for several years before deciding to adopt my own cat, Sunny, in 2016.

Ashley was fantastic and took such great care of my girl. Super responsive, sent great updates and photos, and an all around joy to work with. She kept my mind at ease while watching my baby over Christmas and ensured she was healthy and happy!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - Ashley is awesome! My cat (Nobu) is always in great spirits upon my return.
Ashley takes great care of our cat. He can be shy and slow to trust a new sitter. Ashley has done a wonderful job of letting him slowly accommodate and always plays with him while she’s there. She’s been wonderful!

I currently work from home 2-3 days a week, but my job is a 15 min walk, so I am able to provide potty breaks and playtime during the day. Pets are allowed to roam freely and enjoy any furniture. I also maintain a pet camera with a two-way microphone, so I can see, hear and speak to pets in the home throughout the day.

Dogs: please let me know if your dog experienced separation anxiety and will bark if I leave the house, if they like car rides, if they chew items in the home, if they get possessive over toys/food, if they get along with cats and if they have any dietary restrictions. Cats: please let me know if your cat tries to escape, scratches/bites during play time or does not like petting in certain areas or to be held.
A typical day
I love to take dogs on walks. I love walking by the waterfronts in DC or driving to nearby nature trails. I also love dog parks for the fun play and exercise it brings for the pups (and me!). Cats: I’d love to come play with your cat and provide the love and care for your furry family member while you are away.

Availability
When Sunny and I moved to DC, I decided to start pet sitting professionally. I’ve cared for dogs, cats and rabbits in the DC area since November 2017. I’ve worked with all different sizes, ages and breeds of dogs and cats, including those with special needs (medications, insulin, esophageal tubes, eye drops, oral medications, urinary issues, palliative care, etc.).
