Happy Tails, Happy Trails 🐾

Pet care experience

I currently work at a veterinary clinic near Clinton and taking online classes to become a licensed technician. On my spare time I am outside hiking, backpacking, paddle boarding, mountain biking, and running with my spouse, our Border Collie Luna, and close friends of mine. I grew up visiting my grandparents dairy farm in the summers and when I graduated high school I worked at John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids MI for two summers. I am very comfortable working with many breeds of dogs and cats in addition to smaller mammals and reptiles. I am offering assistance through Rover to gain more experience for my career in the near future. I hope to hear from you soon! -Ashley

Ashley was great! She updated us regularly on the status of our fur babies. She handled a pet emergency with ease making me and the wife comfortable that we left them in the right hands. If it were not for Ashley, we could have come back to one less member of our family. We would definitely book with her again!

Ashley was absolutely wonderful with my baby! She sent pictures and videos throughout her time watching Maya and took her on adventures like to the beach and to play with other doggos. She was very respectful of my home and also took care to make sure Maya followed the rules at home. I never had to worry about a single thing! She also easy to work with and had great communication! I would absolutely book with her in the future!

Safety, trust & environment

I let my dog Luna out first thing in the morning. While waiting for her to come back to the sliding back door I feed both her, my cat Rey, and my rabbit Emmett. I also give them their daily supplements, dental chews, and freshen their water bowls.

Information Ashley S. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know their routine, any medications they take and what time/how you give them. Any triggers such as vacuuming, loud noises (lightning, garbage truck, fireworks, motorcycles, etc.) that your pet is scared of/reacts to. Lastly, please let me know their veterinarian information just in case of any emergency.

A typical day

I take Luna on many walks throughout the week. Sometimes twice a day and swimming at the beach. I use enrichment puzzles with high rewarding treats to help get her nose and mind going. With my cat, Rey, I have a window perch for her that she spends most of her day in watching local suburban wildlife from. Along with a tunnel on the living room floor she will run through and several other cat toys to help keep her curious and active. I am willing to walk your pets to local parks or even transport them to local dog parks/beaches. (If they are well behaved with other dogs). I am always up for playing with a kitty for 10-15mins to help get some energy out.

I am currently working full time from 830 to 6pm. I do work in the Clinton area and have an hour lunch that gives me the ability, if able to, to come and take your pets out in the mid afternoon. I usually walk pets after work if the weather is reasonable. Light rain usually doesn’t stop me from stretching the legs.
