Pet care experience
I've had a dog myself since I was 7 years old, and I live on a farm so I've cared for many different kinds of animals. I've dog sat for many family members and family friends, ranging from puppy to senior age, and all different sizes. I have a Great Dane myself right now, so I'm not afraid of the big breeds! Giving baths and taking "pullers" on a walk is no stranger to me, and I love and respect all the furry friends I encounter!

Ashley has always had a passion for animals, especially dogs and cats! I've had two Great Danes and a variety of barn cats and horses that have needed care over the years and she has always been willing to step in and do the job. She knows the routines, who gets what food, how much and how often. When our Great Dane got sprayed by a skunk, she jumped right in to help get the solution on him to get the oils off before giving him a much needed bath. She has a calm energy which she passes along to the animals. Bottom line is she is wonderful and responsible caregiver for all your pets!

I don't do pet care for others in my own home because I live with my parents when I'm not living in my dorm room. However, in someone else's home it is my absolute goal and intentions to take care of the animals residing there to the best of my abilities, and to not cause any damage to any kind of personal property. I have nothing but love for the animals I care for, so there's no stress about what kind of treatment they would receive from me.

It is important for me to know how your dog reacts to new people entering your living space and how it reacts with other dogs. I would absolutely NOT want to put your dog in a situation where it felt threatened or uncomfortable, so knowing if other dogs are a trigger is very important.
A typical day
My activities with your dog will largely depend on the dog and its energy. If you have a highly energetic dog, lots of playtime and exercise will be incorporated into my visit. If you have a lower-energy dog, maybe something a little more relaxed, like a short walk, would be good for them. It depends largely on your dog's personal needs.

I'm currently a student at University of MN Duluth, so I have classes until about 3-5 on any given week day. My weekends are usually pretty open in terms of drop bys, unless I'm going home for the weekend.
