Hi! My name is Ashley! I'm 29 years old and my passions include creating art, traveling, and DOGS! I am absolutely head over heels for dogs. They encompass everything that I enjoy in people, plus they're soft and cuddly! Spending time with dogs is probably one of my favorite things to do. I am always the one to head straight to the dog when I visit a friend's home and will give that dog all of the attention that it wants. I love caring for them and have had 4 dogs in my lifetime that I've helped provide for and take care of as well as 1 of my own and I absolutely couldn't live without them. I spent almost 4 months working 20-30 hours a week at a doggy daycare center in St. Louis. I have experience in not only caring for these dogs through meals and attention, but also being in charge of their safety with other coworkers. Our center could have upwards of 100 dogs at one time, and so I am very skilled at working with caring for multiple dogs. I've also worked as a receptionist for Bark Avenue, a dog groomer's, and worked very closely with dogs on a daily basis, while also notating medical issues and taking care of them. I also worked most recently at Treats Unleashed where I helped pet owners find the right food and products for their pets, as well as scheduling grooming appointments and interacting with dogs every single day. I work part-time currently and have availability Thursday through Sunday at the moment. I would absolutely love the opportunity to bond with your dogs or cats in the future and help out with any pet care you might need! :)

Ashley is the BEST!!!! She has house-sit our dog twice this month and our dog, Sadie has been well-cared for and perfectly content. Ashley has communicated in a very timely manner and went above and beyond in caring for our spoiled 75 lb. dog!
We loved having Ashley and so did our big dog! Ashley was prompt and totally responsible and trustworthy!
We had a great experience with Ashley as our house sitter! She came over and met Sadie, prior to our scheduled visit and was so warm and friendly that my worries went right out the window, and I am a big worrier. Prior to moving here, we had used the same pet sitter for the entire time we had our dog, so a new sitter in a new town was a bit concerning, until I met Ashley and could see the rapport she had with our dog, who took to her instantly. I would love to use Ashley every time we go out of town! She sent me a few pictures and texts to check in during our trip--everything was perfect!
Ashley did a fabulous job house and pet sitting for us while we were out of town. She took care of one dog and three cats, and there were no issues whatsoever. One of the cats is high-maintenance to say the least, and Ashley managed his medical needs with no problem. We will definitely book her again!

I'm very comfortable working with dogs in general as long as I have all of the information necessary on YOUR pet! I can crate, walk, let out in the yard, feed once, twice, or three times a day - whatever your pet needs, I should be able to accomodate.

In my doggy daycare experience, I have worked with so many different breeds of dogs! From Chihuahuas to Great Danes, and from Yorkies to Pit Bulls, I have experience with so many and LOVE all breeds!! It is important to know, however, if a dog is food agressive towards humans or other animals, kennel aggressive, has any allergies or needs special medication, or anything small about their personality that you as an owner feel it appropriate to let me know so that they can have the best experience possible!
A typical day
I love to spend lots of time playing with dogs. I know that when a dog's family is gone, they feel a bit uneasy sometimes and I like to just help the dog feel comfortable in anyway that I can. Walking is a great way to get a dog to unwind and really get some great exercise. I live near multiple parks in which would be perfect areas for walks, as well as a very friendly neighborhood. Spending time relaxing is also important, I feel. Dogs feel the most comfort while they're home, and that is why I like to travel-sit; so that they have the least amount of stress possible when their owners are gone! Most dogs love a good cuddle, and I can provide that perfectly! I've also grown to learn when a dog needs some "alone" time and am prepared to ensure they get their naps in if necessary!
