Pet care experience
Hi there! I have over 10 years of experience with dogs of all ages, big and small! As someone who had a soulmate dog for 12 years of his precious life at home, I know how important great care can be. Kennels aren’t always an option and staying in a more comfortable and homey environment makes more sense for their well-being and routine. I have pet care experience with puppies of all ages and even dogs up to the tender age of 17. My 12-year-old Siberian Husky was diagnosed with cancer and severe arthritis before his passing, so I am also experienced in administering medications and extra love and patience for the sick and aging. I am very active and I love the outdoors so I am also a great fit for the young and energetic! I am extremely reliable, flexible, and understanding. I will love your animals as if they were my own. After all, they aren’t just animals, they're family. A few things I like to note: We live in a three-story townhome but all of our stairs are carpeted. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns about this in case you have a senior pup that you want to board. I am on Instagram and I LOVE documenting all of my Rover dogs. I even have a special Highlight just for them. If you book with me, don't forget to ask about my Instagram handle and I will be sure to give it to you before your trip so that you can see all of your baby's funny antics and fun things we do while you're away!

Ashley did an excellent job with my dog Kadi. She has been very professional throughout the initial contact and our meet and greet. Always prompt when replying and answering questions. We were very impressed with her care and how she worked with Kadi's reserve temperament to help her feel more comfortable with a stranger. We were very happy with Asley and would definitely recommend her to others and use her again for our trips.

Whether it’s getting some daily exercise at the park behind our neighborhood or making sure they take their medications and eat their dinner, their routine will always stay the same.

Information Ashley R. would like to know about your pet
If your pets are timid and prefer a more gentle approach, I can adjust to their personality needs. I typically like to ask about certain commands you use, rules they have at their own homes, and if they have any personality quirks that I should be aware of. Of course, with any health concerns or medications they may have to take, I like to know ahead of time as well so that I may be prepared. I want to return your sweet pets to you with the same manners, rules, and routines they came here with! :)
A typical day
Our typical day starts with morning cuddles (if they allow it), a nice long walk in the morning, and of course their favorite part, breakfast. We live in a community that is attached to a very big park that I love to take the dogs to (if they are able and the weather permits). I walk the dogs about 3-4 times a day, adjusting to their health status, age, and temperament of course. The rest of the day is filled with lots of love and playing with whatever toys they may bring with them or toys we have from our late dog, Kona. We kept them so that they can live on forever! We also have a large Tempur-Pedic pet bed that gets washed after every use and is available to all dogs of any size!

Availability
I currently work a hybrid work schedule and only go into the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I work from home Monday, Thursday, and Friday with a company that has a great work-life balance. All that to be said, I am extremely flexible with my schedule as I have gained trust from my full-time employer to be able to take on a side job and hobby. I am available for last-minute boarding if I am not already booked for those days. I have no children, a very open schedule, and an incredible husband who is just as great with animals as I am.
