Looking out for neighbors and pups!

Pet care experience

I’ve been a dog owner for seven years, and recently gained the experience of fostering a rescue through the Humane Society (we failed as fosters and adopted her in November 2023). I’ll be honest, I don’t have specialized skills like training puppies or senior care, but I can handle the basics, including administering pills. I’m also an avid hiker and runner, and happy to bring your dog(s) along… tailorable to their fitness level. More than anything, I just love loving on dogs, and will do everything in my power to make sure your dog has a great experience while they’re in my care.

Ashley did a great job walking my dog. She is punctual and my dog was happy and tired when I returned from a long day! Will definitely be using her again! Thanks Ashley!

Safety, trust & environment

I fostered a dog who would make for a run for it at any opportunity, so I am hypersensitive to any and all escape opportunities, just in case your dog is equally adventurous. If your dog does not get along well with others, I am happy to limit interactions by communicating to other dog owners, walking around, and stepping away as needed, as well as maintaining situational awareness to ensure another dog doesn’t sneak up on them. In short, if you communicate your dog’s needs, I’ll never put your dog in a situation where they feel unsafe or uncomfortable.

Information Ashley P. would like to know about your pet

It’s important for me to know about any medical or behavioral concerns that you have about your dog. Examples are if they need food or water rationed out so they don’t consume it too quickly and make themselves sick, if they have a tendency to try to eat other animal poop and need to be carefully walked, or if they are escape artists (as my pup is).

A typical day

I don’t have a yard, so for boarding situations dogs are guaranteed a good 30-minute walk at least 3 times a day. If a dog has a special toy, they can count on a fun game of fetch or tug of war, or they can share some of Luna’s favorite toys. I won’t take your dog to a dog park unless you’ve explicitly given permission AND have already demonstrated their behavior in that environment (e.g a prior meetup at a dog park).
