Pet care experience
I have taken care of dogs and cats for friends and neighbours for decades. I love walking dogs and have volunteered at humane societies. I paint pet portraits too, it brings me so much joy to see how much the pet parents are touched by them. I've included some examples of these in my photos.

Our dog loved staying with Ashley! He even tried to sneak into her car to go home with her when we returned. That is the biggest compliment ever! Ashley is a great communicator, trustworthy, and a dog whisperer. She sent us fantastic photos each night of our trip with our dog smiling. We never worried once during our trip knowing he was in good hands. We can’t wait to go on another trip and hope that Ashley is not completely booked given how fantastic she is!

We can play ball in the yard, and go for a walk on a nearby beach, followed by some head scratches and belly rubs once we're back home.

Availability
When I'm on land, and I plan to spend more time in Port Townsend this year, I love to go for walks and enjoy the company of dogs! I have primarily been a mariner at sea for weeks at a time on a research vessel. When I'm available for pet-sitting, my schedule is wide open with plenty of time for multiple walks a day and lots of attention. I'm very flexible for dog-walking and check-ins/play-dates.
