My wife and I now live in Santa Barbara. We drove 3.5 hours both ways to leave our dog, Amelia, with Ashley. Ashley is the most caring, professional, trustworthy, and safe pet sitter that we have ever known. Our dog absolutely adores her, and her sweet dog Gryphon. Gryphon is a total gentle giant. Our dog Amelia always looks so happy in every picture that Ashley sends, and she is excellent at sending lots of photos. We really can’t imagine leaving our dog with anyone else. I have a fenced yard but it’s big so I keep my little boarders on leash when outside, a long leash so they have room to explore, potty etc while still being safely under my direct supervision. Inside the house they accompany me room to room. If I need to leave them for a short time to run an errand etc they are crated for their safety.

I need to know if your dog has any medical issues such as food allergies etc. Also need to know about any behavioral quirks such as my dog hates the vacuum, is scared of loud noises etc. Also need to know a dogs preferences for where to sleep, ride in the car etc.
A typical day
My little boarding buddies go on daily dog walk outings to places like the beach, the park, trails etc. Sometimes downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea. Also there is a walk in my neighborhood to a fruit stand I like to do on weekends. I keep my clients dogs on their leash for their safety. I prefer a Flexi leash for most walks (unless a high traffic area) so they have room to explore but are still connected to me.
