Dogs make me happy! 🐶
Pet care experience
Until recently I’ve had dogs for the last 15 years but sadly they’re no longer with me. It’s left a massive doggy shaped hole in my life which I’d love to temporarily fill with your four-legged friends whilst I look after them. I’ve had dogs from pups through to their senior years. Both mine were about 15 when they died during which time I dealt with a range of ailments and accidents so I’ve got plenty of experience. I’m happy with all breeds of any size or temperament from the sleepy lazy ones to the bonkers crazy ones. Happy to give medication, or provide walks or playtime to meet their requirements. I’ll also make sure I continue any training you use (clicker or verbal/physical commands). I have a selection of dog beds, toys and bowls or they can bring their own home comforts.
Reviews
So great to find a sitter that I can trust fully. Ash treats Ylva as though she is his own dog, and I know that she will be thoroughly spoiled whenever I leave her with him. Cannot recommend enough!
This was Tia's first boarding with Ashley and we had a great experience. Tia is a senior dog who needed bit more care and attention and Ashley was very reassuring before and on the day when he took Tia in. We had lots of updates showing how Tia was settling in nicely. Our experience with Ashley was excellent and we would highly recommend Ashley to care for your pet.
Thank you Ashley for taking saffy in at short notice. Lots of love and care given. Updates as well. Saffy was very happy and comfortable in Ashley's home. The dog flap is an excellent addition to any dog house.
I would give Ashley so many more stars if I could. He's so kind and helpful and no behaviour is too much for him. Even on our trial my dog did not want to leave. He has so much love for all dogs and it shows. Thankyou so much, will definitely be booking again soon

Having had dogs for 15 years I have a very dog friendly home. There is a dog flap to come and go whenever, but I’ll open the door for the slow learners 😂 The garden has decking and fake grass which is easy to clean up. I don’t mind dogs on the sofa or upstairs. They’ll have free roam of the whole house. I live 2 minutes from South Lake in Woodley which is about a mile all round, and there are plenty of woods and open spaces for them to have a run. I have a long leash if you’re at all worried about them being off the lead. Unless you have insurance I will not walk dogs off their lead. Local vet is 1 mile away at Woodley Precinct. I would ask to meet any new pets and their owners before they stay with me so I can fully understand any special requirements wihich either of you have.

Information Ashley P. would like to know about your pet
Before any visit it is vital for me to know any medical conditions that your fur babies have. This includes any medication they take. I’m happy to give oral meds. I also like to know their normal exercise routine so I can maintain it. Finally, what diet does your dog have? Wet/dry food. Are treats allowed? Badically anything your dog is or isn’t allowed?
A typical day
I work from home from 9am-5pm with the usual video calls, but I’m available to supervise/play/cuddle during this time. When I have a doggy to stay we typically start with a lap of the lake across the road (about a mile/20 mins) then it’s gone for brekkie or a treat. In the evening we go out for a bit longer usually to the woods or a park to burn off some energy. Evenings are chill out time in front of the TV. Weekends give more time to go find a dog-friendly coffee shop or explore new places.

I work from home so daytime care will be great company for me. I have an 11yr old daughter who shares her time between mine and her mums house who until recently has never known life without dogs at home. If she is with me whilst I’m caring for a dog There’s no problem as she is very confident and fantastic with them either walking or playing with them (but less keen on poo duty!).
