I’ve had pets throughout my whole life (dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, fish) whose care was solely my responsibility. I am 32, married to my husband of 10 years and we do not have any children. Pets are our children. Our rabbit of 10 years recently passed away so I am without any pets at the moment. I have a very gentle, patient nature and have always really connected with animals. I often have deer come really close to me while hiking in the woods. I can’t have dogs where I live and one of my favorite pastimes is long walks. I usually walk 25-30 miles per week regardless and I have always enjoyed walks but they are definitely more fun with a dog. Growing up my family had a husky mix, an arthritic yellow lab, and a Boston terrier mix so I am used to all sizes, ages and personalities.
