Recently relocated wildlife biologist with a new business called "mid-life crisis" where I'm available for pet sitting (almost) 24/7 due to the lack of any other respectable type of income! Dog, cat, gecko, horse, goat, chicken, and roach colony owner with a history volunteering and helping with rescues, and with a sister that is a vet (so I have held a dog while it received a stitch-up but I did not enjoy it) so if your dog eats a sock while you're out of town, I have a vet oncall ready to give me (and you) free advice! I use positive reinforcement training techniques (my dogs and horses respond to clicker training), have been trained to run around an agility course, and I have experience with sassy/ fear aggressive /hyper active and anxious individuals (rescued cattle dogs - if you know you know). I like to own the sassy ones (apparently ) and can voodoo them into acquiescence . I know when cats want that chin scratch and I know not to touch their paws or look at them the wrong way or walk weird or exist. Have faced danger in the form of hooves, teeth, and existential crises over hay prices and lived. I don't like aggressive turkeys but I know how to use a bucket as a shield. Have spent many hours pondering life's deeper meanings while cleaning poop (horse, dog, cat, otter, fox, snake, chicken etc etc) and have gone to dinner with shavings in my hair. I'm located in Mill spring so cheapest rates are in the rural areas nearby, but I also make frequent trips "into town" like the dad in little house on the prairie. So i can make house calls to more distant areas towards Hendersonville also. Message me for more info!
