When walking my personal or clients dog, prior to the walk, I checked the weather to make sure it's not to hot or going to rain, and I make sure I have a collapsible bowl with me and a water bottle. I also make sure there is a chest harness vs a regular collar leash to ensure no neck or throat issues. I will also inspect the dog to make sure they are healthy enough for a walk and check their paws for any abrasions or foliage that could have gotten stuck, as well as to get a feel of their overall demeanor. If I have a large dog, I'll go for a longer walk or light run vs a smaller dog may just be a simple walk, tailoring to the walk to the dogs overall vitality. For pet sitting, I do a full sit down with the owners to go over the pets habits, schedule and routine to make sure I keep up what standards they have set. I'm here to make sure the owners are at ease with a new person caring for their fur baby and that the pet is loved and comfortable while away from their family.
