Pet care experience
I have grown up caring for pets and I simply adore their personalities, energy and company. I feel so lucky to spend time with pups here on Rover. I am currently a full-time pet caretaker! I am quite experienced and comfortable with boarding, quick check-ins/feeding, and walking pets. If you’re seeking boarding, I will always be close by, attentively meeting their needs and wants, keeping them feeling comfortable, safe & happy. I will send you many photos and go at their pace. I’m looking forward to hanging out with your pet and making sure they stay happy & well while you’re away. ❤
Reviews
Ashley was listed as living in downtown brulignton , a few blocks from my home, so I hired her because it would be convenient for her to feed my cat in the morning and evening. She didn't tell me till a few days before I left that she lives outside the city, in Westward. So I didn't have time to book anyone else. Instead of feeding my cat in the morning as I'd booked, she showed up on Sunday ask 3:30pm. That was the first feeding of the day! And on the second of the three days, she showed up at noon. She should have told me that she lived too far away, so I could book someone else. Also, she neglects to check out in real time? Why? So I would think she stayed longer than she did? I don't know. I would not hire Ashley to care for my cat again.
Ashley is always so attentive to my somewhat special cat’s needs. I’m SO thankful for the continued help that she’s been able to provide!
Ashley took great care of Sylvie while I was away. She stopped in to check on water, food, and play with Sylvie.
Thanks again, Ashley! It was so helpful to have a sitter, so we could bring her with us on our weekend away! She had great communication and we were happy overall with Kaz's care.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a cozy, yet spacious apartment that my partner Owen, our super sweet black labrador Bella, and I will share with your furry friend - they are free to roam, play and snuggle up as they please! I provide an environment conducive to a sense of safety, joy and relaxation for them. My approach with pets is positive reinforcement centered. I am mindful of staying empathetic and aware so I can always meet their needs. They can expect exercise, relax time, brain stimulation (e.g. learning a new trick), nature exposure, playing, treats, pats, & scratches whenever they see me! I am sensitive to animals' subtle communication. Their needs, wants, and wishes are my commands! I will always attentively care for them, providing consolation & comfort if they are missing you. More about our home setting: We live across the street from a semi-fenced in field where I typically let my dog Bella run around off leash throughout the day. Dogs in my care get an abundance of exercise if they are up for it! Your dog can join in on that fun, or we can certainly stay on leash and explore the neighborhood or a local path/hike if you prefer the leashes stay on (I totally understand and will respect your wishes). The lake is also nearby, if they enjoy a good swim for exercise/cool off in the summer Your pet will have constant access to fresh water indoors (and their food unless you have a feeding schedule)

Information Ashley L. would like to know about your pet
Are they comfortable around other dogs? How about the dog park? What words do they respond to regarding daily communication (sit, stay, easy, potty, etc.)? What’s their daily feeding/bathroom routine? How do they like to play (for example, fetch, running, roughhousing)? Do you have specific training goals? Do they have any quirks, medications or other special needs I should know about? With these questions answered, I can be mindful to stay consistent with your program and minimize stress for your pet while they’re away from home. Please let me know if your dog has any special needs regarding training program, dietary, medications, habits, physical limitations or otherwise. I will be sure to accommodate!
A typical day
A typical day begins with morning snuggles and playing, a photo & check-in with you, fresh food & water, and a potty break. Lately, I enjoy showing TV made for dogs (on YouTube) where they’ll watch birds & squirrels or other similar content while I get ready—this is a surprisingly effective distraction. Later we might explore the neighborhood together, check out local trails and paths, or stop by the local dog park (if you approve!). We can practice any training you’ve been working on throughout the day—you’ll be psyched to see their progress in the video I send over. It also depends on their normal routine, which I will adhere to as much as possible.

I have a pretty flexible schedule; I am just getting back into Rover after moving to a new apartment and some life changes. So, reach out to me and I can likely fit them into my calendar.
