Hey there! My name is Ashley, and I have been a dog lover since I was born. I have been loving, cuddling and playing with dogs for as long as I can remember, and I intend to keep doing so until the day I die. I did one year in the college dorms without a dog, and I was miserable. The next year I moved into a condo and got a dog of my own, and the rest was history. I'm the kind of person who loves dogs for everything they are, quirks and all. When I go over to someone's house, I'm the one on the floor hugging the dogs before the people even know what's happened. I have no problem with any other animals, either. I'm an equal opportunity pet lover, but dogs have a special soft spot in my heart. As for me, I am 30 and a teacher on summer vacation. I'm based out of Old Scripps Ranch, but I am willing to go most places around town to give your pets the love and attention they need while you're away. The only thing of note is that, due to travel time, gas prices and vehicle wear and tear, I add an additional $10/day for anything farther than 12.5 miles from my home. My dogsitting price also covers two extended visits per day - morning and evening, or staying overnight, if we've arranged that. An additional visit in the afternoon would be $15. I'm comfortable with all types of dogs, administering medication, pet first aid, going on walks and plenty of play time. I also have experience with cats, rabbits, numerous types of rodents and fish, and would love to look after them, too. I can take care of things around your house, such as bringing in the mail and watering plants. If there's anything else you want done, feel free to ask! I was raised with several golden retrievers throughout my life, and I fell in love with the compassion and true devotion of dogs before I can remember. When I went off to college, I broke the golden tradition and rescued a wonderful, slightly spastic, rat terrier, who was my best friend for over 10 years. I currently have a young mini goldendoodle, who is made of fluff and energy. Because I am such an animal lover, I am often the first person my friends and family call for pet sitting while they are out of town. They all know that while they are gone, I'll be the one giving their pets as much love as I can. I've looked after dogs big and small, cats, rabbits, rodents, fish, turtles and even a frog.
