Hi! Here is a little about me: Dogs have always been a part of my family since I was little. The amount of love and passion I have for them is indescribable. I am the person who will give love and attention to any dog I see and will go out of my way to meet them. They are a part of our families and truly become one of us! My husband and I had a 9 year old Doberman/American Bulldog who we adopted when he was about 6 months old. He gave us a run for our money, from basic obedience to aggression, but we overcame quite a bit the last 9 years we had him (with the help of ongoing training). We worked closely with trainers, did a board and train, and worked with a canine veterinary behaviorist. Since having our pup, I feel he gave us the experience to handle most, if not all, situations! To start my animal working career, I worked at a doggie daycare for 3 years. Here I was around 80+ dogs a day and they were all sizes. My responsibilities were cleaning up after them, playing and making sure they were getting exercised and receiving lots of love and attention, administering medications/shots if needed, etc. My second and third jobs in the animal field were at an animal hospital as a veterinary assistant and at a puppy store. As a veterinary assistant I worked in the back with the vets to help with the needs of our animal patients. Lastly, I was a consistent pet sitter for a family with 3 dogs (at one point 4) and a cat, for about 2 years. Just about every other weekend I would be asked to stay over to watch their pups and at times it was for a week at a time. My husband and I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter who loves dogs, but also knows her boundaries, so you're pup would need to be okay with kids!
