Pet care experience
Hi! I'm Ashley, am 22 years old, and I have loved every animal I have ever met—in genuine seriousness—and they have all loved me back! I have lots of experience with headstrong breeds, such as german shepherds and huskies, including my own who I have trained (and coddled) their entire lives. Additionally, I also have a special needs cat, and am comfortable attending to extra care of animals who need a little extra assistance. I have cared for both senior dogs and cats, and pet-sat for as long as 3-week periods at a time. I have cared for litters of puppies as well, and am not overwhelmed with the extra numbers or their discovering-the-world energy. As an extra, I am familiar with households that keep pets separate due to their animals not getting along, and understand the extra precautions necessary to keep them both safe. I am very happy to lead "dog-controlled walks", meaning they can stop and sniff as long as they want while still making sure they get their distance in. I am a firm believer in the mental stimulation this method gives animals opposed to just the physical exercise portion. I also can work on stopping leash-pulling habits—I have done this effectively with both puppies and older dogs, (even Huskies, which if you've ever been around one, you know this isn't easy). I am happy to answer any and all questions, and set up meet and greets beforehand so both you and your dog are comfortable with our adventures! Hello, Ashley is wonderful with my husky, who isn't easy! He is 3, bouncy, is on fast mode almost always, and suffers separation anxiety. Ashley is very kind, takes her time with him, and they just love each other. When we are setting up visits, he talks, as husky's do, to her on the phone. He is very excited when he hears her voice and goes nuts when he sees her because he knows they are going somewhere special. She takes him on neighborhood walks and hiking at times too which he especially loves! What I really appreciate is that she pays attention to heat, making sure he has water with him, and when he needs to rest, she waits until he is ready to go. As far as car rides, she is very careful with him, helping him up and down, and even mindful of the window being down. (He likes it, but not over 40mph so the window has to go then :) ) I absolutely recommend Ashley to anyone that wants a trustworthy and truly caring animal friend! **Side note, she is also great with my cat who get's his feelings a little hurt when the dog gets to go. She makes sure she gives him lots of loves, a cat treat, and lots of pets. I have had her house sit for me too and she takes great care of both animals. The litter box is always clean which is very important to me. I also get cute pics which I love, but they actually make me miss them which makes me want to come back home faster :) We highly recommend!

A typical day
My favorite walks are "dog-controlled walks", meaning they can stop and sniff as long as they want while still making sure they get their distance in. I am a firm believer in the mental stimulation this method gives animals opposed to just the physical exercise portion. I love going on walks on park or hiking trails that gives both me and fur-baby extra scenery and fun and different smells. For pet sitting, I really focus on giving them dedicated attention while I am with them, as I understand that they not only are needing basic care, but are missing their humans and need the extra love. I love playing their favorite games and lots and lots of pets for the entire duration I am there. Though, I am also very respectful of animals who are extremely timid, and will keep their comfort as a priority.

I am currently attending university on a 100% flexibile schedule so I am available most days. Occasionally, weekend bookings will be closed—but not often!
