I do not have any breed preferences I love them all the same. Before caring for a pet the most important thing I like to know are the things they do not like. If they do not like other dogs, do not like to be bothered while eating, do not like their feet touched, do not like men or children or other things such as those. While these things may seem very specific, these are common little quirks I have experienced with dogs in the past, and knowing this in advance will help me keep myself, your pet and others safe! I would also like to know your veterinary preference should the worst case scenario occur. While I hope nothing will ever happen that requires their services, I know that it can be a possibility and I would rather be safe than sorry always! Lastly of course I would like to know their normal feeding and going outside routine so I know what they are used to on a daily basis. For overnight or for long stays, I do think it is important that we do a meet and greet, or at least a phone call if meeting is not possible, to be sure we are both a great fit for each other and that you can have great confidence that your pet will be comfortable in our home. Once that boring (yet very important) safety information is out of the way, I would love to know how they like to play and the things they love to do so I can make them as comfortable as possible while with me! Any toys they love or places they love I of course want to know about. I also want to know if they can be walked in the neighborhood, if they are comfortable around cars or like to ride in the car, and if they are comfortable around other dogs. This will help me plan activities and prepare for a great stay with your pet. And as I am sure we can all talk about our pets for ever, anything else you would like to add I will be more than happy to listen!

While caring for your dog, our main form of exercise will be walking around the neighborhood. There are sidewalks and grass enough to walk for hours and I often take breaks from work every hour or so to walk and would love a walking buddy! There are multiple parks to walk to for playing and many others to see along the way who will be happy to give some pets. I am close to forest park, so if you and your pet is comfortable with car trips, a trip to forest park for relaxing or playing would for sure be on the agenda. When inside, we will definitely enjoy some long naps on the couch and some Netflix to pass the time. I enjoy cooking and am always looking for a buddy in the kitchen to help me out, and then to sit outside and enjoy dinner in the backyard, weather permitting of course. There also might be some treats in their future if we want to learn some new tricks or work on some fun training. Hopefully they will be as happy to be doing stuff with me as I am with them!
