Pet care experience
My husband and I have grown up with dogs all of our lives. I have owned small dogs, large dogs, hyper dogs, and calm dogs. We currently have two dogs of our own — Luna is a 1 1/2 year old female standard goldendoodle and Cash is a 10 month old male mini goldendoodle. Lastly, we have one cat named Harley and she is a domestic shorthair. She is very used to all kinds of dogs and mostly stays upstairs in our bedroom away from the dogs. All three of our animals are very socialized and get along great with other dogs of all sizes. If you are a pet owner who needs someone experienced with pets who require daily medication orally or via injection, I am very qualified and comfortable doing that job. I was a mom to a toy poodle for 13 years. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with diabetes in the last few years of his life and needed insulin injections twice a day. I am very comfortable administering eye drops and nasal drops if needed as well. Over the years, I have volunteered and fostered many dogs because I wanted to help make a difference. I think every dog deserves a caring and loving home. Not only do I enjoy meeting and watching all kinds of different dogs in our home, we strive to make our place a second home to your dog while they are boarding. It is a stressful time for them when they don’t know where you are so I do my best to make sure they feel as comfortable and at home as I possibly can. We have had so many great experiences with Ashley, but this was the first time I had to reach out in an emergency situation where we needed immediate coverage for the dogs. And she was available and even offered to pick them up for us! And the dogs are so excited to go there, they start whining as soon as we drive into the neighborhood and don’t stop until they are in the house!
We have been using Ashley to watch our two golden doodles for several months now, they get so excited to go there! The 30 second wait for her to answer the door is absolute torture for them! Other than seeing how happy they are when they arrive, we also get pics of the dogs having fun, and Ashley has been able to handle anything that has come up during their stays so that we can just enjoy ourselves on vacation and not have to worry about a thing!
Ashley and her family are wonderful! They treat our dog as one of their own.
I went on a cruise for 9 days. Ashley and her family took incredibly great care of my two elderly pups, one of which had existing medical concerns. She quickly put my mind at ease by providing multiple photos with updates every day. She quickly responded when I had a question. She administered medicine to my one pup three times a day. Twice she went to the veterinary office to pick up medicine for my pup. She and her family all loved on my two dogs as if they were part of her family. Without hesitation, I would definitely trust my dogs to Ashley to take care of again. She was wonderful.

While I am watching your fur babies, I will treat them as if they are my own and will have huge hearts for them. Again, someone will always home: myself, husband or 19 year old stepson. I can provide a walk/playtime in the morning if requested as well as/and/or a walk/playtime in the evening if requested. Also, all four of my kids love pets and would love to play and spend time with your fur baby in our large backyard where they will have plenty of room to roam. I taught our dog, Luna, several commands- sit, shake, lie down, and stay. I am happy to work with your fur baby too if that is something you request. I am very patient with all kinds of dogs, but I do ask that you be very honest about your pet’s behavior. If they are destructive, “escape artists” or have aggression issues, I will not be able to watch them. I am a mom to two little girls, Briella (7) and Savannah (6), as well as two stepsons, Evan (19) and Spencer (12), and have to make sure they are safe. They are very energetic kids who love to play with dogs and will keep your fur babies very active!

VERY IMPORTANT: please let me know if your dog has any special needs such as medication, injections or topical ointments. I also ask that you please inform me of any behavioral issues your dog may have. Please note - if I am watching your pet and learn after they have been dropped off that they have behavioral problems such as potty training issues (more than 2 accidents a day or excessive marking), food aggression or other aggression (I have animals, kids and other customers so this needs to be a safe place), destructive behaviors, routinely tries to escape the yard or house, or is an intact male, I will be adding on a $20 per day surcharge for the extra supervision, damage, and clean-up. Please be completely transparent about concerning behaviors so I can make an informed decision about whether or not your booking dates are a convenient time for your pet to stay in my home. Thank you for your patronage.
A typical day
All of us love to give our boarding dogs lots of attention (belly rubs, play time, and treats). I do have a nice neighborhood that I can walk your dog in if that is something you prefer. Otherwise, they are given free roam of our large backyard to play and go potty.

Availability
I do work a full time job and leave my house by 9 am to to be at the office by 9:30 am. However, my husband works from home 5 days a week, my 19 year stepson is at home doing virtual college and my other 12 year old stepson also does virtual school. While I am at work, my husband and stepsons help me with the dog sitting responsibilities. They let the dogs outside to go potty as well as help feed them until I get home from work. Most of the time I am home all day on the weekends .
