Hello! I've grown up with both social and non-social dogs. Loving dogs, I decided to work with them on my school breaks. I have worked at 3 dog care facilities: my work experience includes time as a doggy playgroup leader and a supervisor. I have monitored dog interactions/behavior in daycare playgroups, played/walked alone with non-social dogs, fed dogs with special diets, administered various types of medication, and have assisted in dog training classes (operant conditioning). I have also volunteered at a rescue center. I know a lot about dog behaviours and interactions. Furthermore, I am experienced with geriatric dogs and automatically watch for pain indicators. During zoo internships, I learned much about the necessity of keeping animal minds engaged (so they don't chew up shoes!); I have thus incorporated activities to mentally stimulate my own dog and can do so for your dogs as well! If your dog is on "bedrest," mental stimulation can be a way to use up some of their restless energy. I'm excited to meet your furry family!
