Before sitting a dog, I like to cover the bases and answer any questions the owner may have. Please show me where food/water/treats are located, as well as leashes/harnesses and favorite toys. If your dog has special needs, such as allergies or medications, I need to be aware of that. Specific behaviors and commands are necessary for me to know before our first sitting takes place. How do you reward good behavior? How does your dog react to other people and/or animals that we may encounter during our sitting? Are there any quirks that I need to be aware of? All pets have quirks and behavior differences. These are some of the questions that I would ask an owner.

On a stay with me, a dog will enjoy a walk that is within 2 miles of the owner's home. I average 1.5 miles in a 30-minute walk period. I am patient and detail-oriented with all ages. I always bring water on our walks for breaks. Within a fenced or enclosed area, I love to play with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and ages with toys that are provided by the owner. Every dog is different, some do well in parks, others do well close-to-home. I speak with the owner directly about their preferences of walking location and activities.
