Animals are a Gift ♡

Pet care experience

We all have a God-given calling in this world, and we are gifted in those areas for a reason. Since childhood, my passion has been for the care, love, and welfare of all of God’s creatures, and in adulthood I’ve only ever been at my happiest and most fulfilled when I am putting in work for this cause. I’ve worked professionally with dogs, in particular, for three years, and with cats professionally for around one year. I also have experience with other small animals, including rabbits, ferrets, and birds. I show no breed or type of animal any less love and attention than the one before, and I dedicate myself to showing each and every one the same love and protection that I provide to my own furry babies. I decided recently that I’d rather make these experiences a little more personal though, so now I focus on clients and their pets one-on-one rather than in a crowded boarding facility. I have found that this greatly reduces the stress that your animal may go through in your absence, allowing them to remain in a comfortable environment—either your own home or mine—where they receive every bit of attention they are used to receiving with you. I’m certified in K9 CPR, give great FREE BATHS, and (with your consent) love to take my boarding friends on field trips whenever possible, if it’s something they also will enjoy (some don’t mind being couch potatoes!) I also I offer daily FaceTime and/or Skype check-ins for those parents who want to say hello to their pup while away, or who just want a little extra peace of mind in knowing their baby is safe, healthy, and relaxed. First I have a question for you, then a proposition. Ask yourself this—why are you considering paying the same (or more!) to send your dog to a kennel? Would you rather they sleep alone in a small space, receiving just a few minutes a day of individualized attention? I have worked in several of these facilities in the Charlotte area, and they are all the same in this regard. Yes, of course they care about the welfare of your baby, but with many of them maxing out at 100+ dogs per day, it’s simply not possible for the staff to meet the particular needs of your dog every day. This is an unfortunate truth, and it greatly affects your pet’s mental health in your absence, inducing an incredible amount of stress and anxiety. In fact, having to witness so much of that stress and anxiety in those facilities is an enormous factor contributing to why I felt it best to leave, myself. Please consider making that same choice for your babies. I propose to you this—take me up on the offer for a free consultation. I am fully aware of and understand the hesitations that any dog owner would have when considering hiring a personal sitter over a trusted area business, and so I would like to extend the invitation to formally meet me before ever booking. We can discuss you and your animal’s specific needs, and address each of your questions and concerns. In most cases this initial meeting and getting to know each other makes it much easier for an animal owner to make their decision, but the best part is—there is no obligation or risk on your part in doing so. Under no circumstances are you obligated to choose me as your pet’s caretaker after meeting, and there are no hard feelings. My number one priority is what is best for you and your pets, and this is why I always offer and highly recommend this preliminary consultation to all potential clients. And it costs you nothing but your time. I truly and sincerely care about your pets, and your own comfort is just as important to me as the theirs. I strongly encourage you to reach out. God bless you and your fur-family - and I’ll talk to you soon!

Ashley has been sitting my two dogs, Annabelle and Gypsy, for several years now any time my family is out of town. I’ve had to use other sitters on the rare occasion that Ashley was unavailable, and every time I’ve been left feeling uncertain of my dog’s experience and the level of attention they receive. What sets Ashley apart is her commitment to ensuring that no matter when the need arises, she is always immediately available on request to FaceTime us while we’re away, allowing for us to check on our girls impromptu and in real time—and of course, every time they are clearly having a blast, either playing in the yard with Ashley’s dogs, or relaxing on the couch getting a belly rub. There is nothing more relieving than knowing we can truly let go of any worries while away and just enjoy ourselves, all the while with our girls having just a great of vacation themselves.
