Pet care experience
I've always loved animals. We had cats growing up in our home and I was responsible for taking care of their feeding and litter. I now love to pet sit. I enjoy pet sitting for my family. I also am a sitter for many friends and acquaintances when they go on long trips for work or vacation. My favorite animals are dogs. My favorite breed is the German Shepherd, but I love all dogs. I usually house/pet sit for larger breed dogs but am comfortable taking care of little ones as well. I've taken care of puppies but have no formal training. I have taken care of many senior dogs; I love it because they need lots of rest and love and I am more than happy to provide that.

My family has used Ashley for about 6 years now to housesit in our home and watch our two German Shepherds while we vacation. She is dependable and honest. She keeps in good contact to assure us that our boys are doing well. The dogs know there will be lots of lovin' and play time when Ashley comes. Any instructions left are followed to a T. When you meet Ashley too, you will see what a wonderful personality she has!
Ashley is the best with our dogs! She's watched them several times and she always cares for them just as we would. She also is respectful of and cares for our home and her surroundings as well. I'd never hesitate to call her to be with our pups!

I cannot care for pets at my apartment, but I find that when sitting, dogs are most comfortable in their own space anyways. I like to follow lists. Any information provided about the pets' routine and comforts is more than welcome. When they are normally fed, walked, groomed, taken to day care; these are all things I try to stick to closely to make sure any pet is as comfortable without their human as possible.

It’s always good to know if your dog has preferences; do they like to follow you around the house or do they keep vigilant watch at the house windows, things like that. Any rules that they may try to get away with breaking while you’re not home. I also like to know if a pup has any adverse reactions; whether that be to people, places, noises, etc.
A typical day
I love long walks but I’m not adverse to shorter walks for older or special needs pups. Fetch is a favorite pastime. I’m never in much of a rush so I have no problem letting your pup explore to their hearts content. I enjoy going on the trails with dogs who are comfortable around people and other pets. I also don’t mind just a walk around their neighborhood where they are comfortable.

I own my own small business. I work about 6 hours four days a week early in the morning. I am home by two every day. Because of my flexible schedule, I enjoy fitting pet care into most of my days.
