Special Needs & Senior Dog/Cat Care
Pet care experience
I have been dogsitting and walking/running with dogs for over ten years. Growing up, my dad was a K9 handler and trainer and so I have had a ton of experience with caring for dogs as well as having my own dogs that were more like children or sisters to me. I have experience with caring for senior dogs and dogs with special needs including administering medication to them and providing them with necessary comfort. I currently have eight regular clients in which I stay overnight or stop by during the day to walk, run, play, and/or provide medication for. Furthermore, I know basic first aid for dogs.
Reviews
It was Ashley's first time walking my two boys and it seemed to have gone great! She came by for a meet and greet about a week beforehand and sent me plenty of pictures the day of the walk.
Ashley is a very conscience and dedicated dog handler having grown up with both large and small dogs. She has taken care of several senior dogs, one lived to the age of 19 years and another lived for 14 years. She has had experiences with numerous dogs and cats that she has sat for, which required constant medical attention. She is not intimidated by large dogs having shared her home with a trained K9 for many, many years. Ashley is a pleasant and polite people person who has both family dogs and people at heart. She is truly someone you can trust with your loved four legged family member.

I currently only have "adopted" fur babies (i.e. dogs that I take care of) as both of my dogs have passed away in the last few years. Rat was my rescued mutt from a back alley in Baltimore City. She lived to be 19 years old and I have a realistic portrait of her tattooed on my arm. She was my dog-sister. Daja was a German Shepherd from Slovakia. She lived to be 14 years old and was obedient as much as she was an independent thinker. I miss both deeply. Since I am unable to have a dog of my own right now, I look forward to each and every one of the dogs I care for.

No breed preferences. I specialize in caring for senior and special needs pets. I have over ten years of experience offering caring and loving dog- and cat-sitting.
A typical day
If there are any parks nearby, you can be sure I will take your dog there to walk or run on trails, so long as you and your pup are ok with that. Otherwise, I will keep to the sidewalks of your local area. I am always down to play with dogs!
