Pet care experience
I was one of those kids who always had a pet or brought home a critter. If I actually had a brain for science and biology, no doubt I would have become a vet! Nine years ago my husband and I adopted a Coon Hound named Holmes. Holmes, who is now around ten, has become our best bud and has brought new adventures into our world. We adopted Molly in June of 2019. She is the sweetest pup and we believe she is about 7 or 8-years-old. She needs extra care due to having a medical condition called Mega-Esophagus. This basically means that she needs to sit vertically while eating and stay in that position for 30 minutes after to ensure that her food gets to her tummy. Holmes and Molly are family. I treat every pet the way I want my Holmes and Molly to be treated. About this sitter: I recently left my corporate job to become an entrepreneur. The great thing about living in today's times is that you can do side hustles while making your bigger dream a reality. And what better side hustle is there than walking and looking after other people's fur babies??? Why I love dog sitting: Blake and I have been dog lovers all our lives. We both grew up with dogs as long as we can remember. About my yard: Our yard should be fenced off by the end of November (yay!). Until then, we take Holmes out on a leash. Molly is very good to stay by our side. We also have two harnesses attached to stakes in the backyard so they can enjoy sun bathing and roam around. We never leave them in the backyard unattended. My experience administering medication: If we had a dollar for every time Holmes had to take medication when we first adopted him...well, we'd have a lot of dollars! Molly has a special condition and has frequently had to have oral and topical medications.

Ashley and Blake are awesome! They love my boy as their own. Very good at providing updates and pics. Will definitely use their services again, and highly recommend.
Ashley and her Husband Blake were great with my boy Beau. Provided updates and pics, and Beau loved playing with their babies, Holmes and Molly.
Everything was just perfect.

Keeping your pet safe is my top priority! The first step in my process is making sure that you and I both have a clear understanding of expectations for when I come in and exit your home. That includes making sure that I lock your door, set an alarm if needed, etc. It also means that I fully understand the correct way to harness your dog before taking him/her on a walk, because, let's face it, not all harnesses are created equally! I know that my Molly can wiggle out of her harness, and it is extremely important that anyone watching her have very specific directions on how to walk her. I treat every new situation like a "Molly" situation.

Information Ashley D. would like to know about your pet
We are open to most breeds, as long as they get along with other dogs. Before watching a dog, we would like to know if he/she often has accidents in the home so we would know to take him/her out more frequently, and we would want to know if he/she tends to chew on furniture so that we could make sure to watch for that and have plenty of chew toys available.
A typical day
If boarding with us, this is what a daily routine would most likely look like: Between 6:00 - 7:00 AM: Rise and Shine! Blake and I assist the dogs one at a time with releasing those bladders! 7:00 - 7:30 AM: Breakfast! 7:30 - 8:30 or 9:00 AM (depending on weather): Holmes and your pup go for a walk (Molly tends to be fearful of the world and usually prefers to stay behind) 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM: The day is filled hanging out, playing with each other, chewing on toys, going for a midday stroll or a trip to the neighborhood dog park, multiple trips out back for potty breaks, sun bathing on the leashes attached to stakes until that fence is installed, and napping on the couch. 4:30 - 5:00 PM: Dinner Time! 5:00 - 9:00 PM: Hanging out at home, going for a walk, or, if okay with the parents, going to Thirsty Dog in North Belmont to run and play while the humans play trivia or music bingo. 9:00 - 10:00 PM: Outside for one more potty break, followed by a kiss on the head before lights out
