I have no breed preferences - I've cared for dogs of all temperaments, ages, and sizes. I would like to know first if they have any problem behaviors, and what their triggers may be (jumps on new people? Cries during thunderstorms? Pees when the doorbell rings?) and how you would like me to handle the situation if it arises. I also would like to know what their usual routine is, and any activities I need to perform daily (walks, fetch, hair/teeth brushing, etc.) I'd love to know what their favorite games and toys are, as well as what behaviors you want to encourage or discourage. And most importantly, PLEASE inform me of any health - related issues or tendencies (such as medications, allergies, nervous shaking/vomiting, etc.) so that I can be prepared for any issues that may arise.

I love walking or jogging with active dogs, though I'm more than happy to play a game of fetch or tug-o-war if they're not the sporty-type. I own a long-haired Shih-tzu so I'm no stranger to regular brushings or other maintenance, either! I have a dog-friendly vehicle and will be happy to take your dog to a local trail or dog park if that's something they enjoy, or maybe just a walk around the block if they're not the social kind. I love playing with big AND little dogs, and am comfortable with vocal games (sit, fetch, wait) and physical ones (tug-o-war, frisbee, etc.) I'm very comfortable with puppies and young dogs, as well as the challenges they bring (like housebreaking and teaching bite sensitivity.) I honestly have yet to meet a dog I don't like, and I'm confident your furry friend and I will have a GREAT time together!
