Doggie Care When You Can't Be There

Pet care experience

Hi! My name is Ashley & my dogg-sitting services would be PERFECT for your special member of the family. I have been a dog-lover from day-1. I developed my love & understanding of the species at a young age with several years in 4-H Dog Obedience (even won Grand Champion one year w/ my Husky/Rott mix at the age of 12!). I was raised on a farm that was home to up to (8) dogs at a time! I am also a US Air Force Security Forces Reservist with the hopes of one day using my K9 skills in an criminal justice or security arena. My most recent (late) rescued dogs were an American Bulldog weighing 135 lbs & my Great Dane/Mastiff tipped the scales at 192lbs! Currently, however, I have a very petite Great Dane, Anja, who is afraid of her own shadow. I LOVE large breed dogs, so, no size is too big. Currently, our house is under construction/renovation so I am only accepting drop-in visits/walks. About this sitter: Home-based business owner has plenty of time for a 4-legged sleep-over. I just moved to INDY so I am inbetween jobs at the moment, in addition to my 1 weekend a month for the Air Force Reserves, so, I'm home almost all the time. For the right dog, I enjoy long walks down the road. Or, if you need me to run w/ them, I can do that, too. Why I love dog sitting Since Day 1. I grew up on a farm in Indiana & dogs were just one of the many species I cared for on a daily basis. Meet my pets (1) Turtle & (1) Great Dane About my yard I have a chain-linked fenced-in backyard. My experience administering medication Yes, I grew up on a farm.

Ashley was amazing. We had a lot of unforeseen changes to our original plan and she just rolled with the punches. She was accommodating and I had no problems with her responding to my questions within minutes of me contacting her. She came prior to the sitting time and became acquainted with a dog that is not easy to please.. I highly recommend her and she's good with large dogs. No more kennels for us!

Ashley was very kind and confident when we first meet. She sent pictures of Lola which I really enjoyed. I have a cat and was very scared he would be let out. He was safe and sound when I got home! Thank you Ashley for taking care of both of my animals. We appreciate your help!

Ashley did an awesome job making my Zelda feel right at home! Ashley played ball with her, and gave her free access to her home. She treated Zelda like family and that was what I was looking for in a pet sitter?! I could tell when I picked her up that Zelda had a good time. I would highly recommend Ashley to watch your fur baby! I will definitely use her again. Thanks for everything!

Information Ashley C. would like to know about your pet

Generally myself & my neighbors are pretty laid back, but I still like to be respectful. So, if a dog barks constantly, I would like to know in advance from the owner rather than hearing it from my neighbor.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks Down the road. I have a runner/walker-friendly area. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Wherever you prefer. I'm OK sharing my bed if the K9-parents are. I understand that if that's not something they allow in their own home, then I am capable of enforcing the rules away from home. Time I'll spend with your dog Typically, I'm home all day. Occasionally I do have a shift downtown to work, but, I'm usually never gone more than 4-5 hours (more times than not, its 2-3 hours). My fiancé works from home so, if he's in town 6 months out of the year, someone will be here.
