Pet care experience
I've grown up with dogs my whole life. From Pit-Bulls to King Charles Cavaliers I understand how to interact with each type of dog and what they need. Being around animals my whole life, I understand the steps to take if there is an emergency and be able to understand the warning signs if something is not right. Whether you have an active dog or a less active dog I am happy to adjust and do what is needed for the animal. At the end of the day I love dogs and understand living in the city with an animal is difficult so I am happy to use my skills and experience to help take a weight off your shoulder. While I work 10-6 during the week I am happy to walk in the morning and right after work.

Ashley took absolutely wonderful care of my miniature Schnauzer, Mina, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their dog! Mina needed twice daily medication and can be a bit stubborn on walks but this was no problem for Ashley! I received regular updates and it was so clear to me when I picked Mina up how well she was cared for and how happy Mina was to stay with her. This will definitely not be Mina's last stay with Ashley!
Ashley was terrific -- very flexible, fun personality and truly loves dogs! Our beagle Jackson was very happy staying with her over the weekend. All our interactions were very positive and Ashley was a pleasure to work with.
Be careful. Your dog is likely to fall head over heals for her. Ashley dog sits for me once a month and it's easily my dogs favorite time. She is prompt, patient and always treats my space respectfully. There are very few people I would trust more to watch my dog.. like maybe just my wife.. and even then.. it's up in the air haha
Ashley will be a great dog sitter. She has sat for friends pets as she was growing up and has always had pets (cats and dogs) in her life. She is conscientious about feeding protocols, exercise schedules and any medical issues. She makes sure the pets are always safe. She is compassionate and treats each pet as if it was her own.

I would like to know the dog's temperament towards strangers, especially on the street, and if it chews on anything besides toys, so I can make sure everything is put away correctly so their are no accidents.
A typical day
Living in Brooklyn I know where all the dog parks are there if you feel comfortable with your dog going in one, if not walking around in public parks is just as nice so they can be in greenery more. Prospect park is a favorite of mine. We will play catch, I will groom the dog if needed and help facilitate training if they participate in any.
