Pet care experience
I am a life-long animal lover, and I enjoy spending time with all animals. I’m honest and communicative. I grew up my whole life with at least one dog, and my younger brother and I were often responsible for caring for our dogs. I've owned mostly large dogs, and I've dog sat for medium and small dogs often. I love spending time outside, especially when it’s with a furry friend! I love to cuddle up on the couch with a good book or TV show. I currently own three cats and I love them so much! I also have a betta fish. I have experience working in a veterinary clinic (receptionist, assistant, technician) and animal shelters as well. I am comfortable administering medications if necessary. I am trained in Fear Free animal handling (Fear Free Happy Homes). I completed online veterinary technician courses in handling, anatomy, medical nursing, and emergency care.

Ashley is simply the best!
Ashley is a true professional! We were so happy to find her to stay with our really old Yorkie and brand new cat for a week. It was so much easier to leave them knowing they were in such great hands. We'd absolutely have her pet sit again!!!
Things with Ashley started off great. She was extremely communicative and very easy to book with. The meet and greet went great. The animals all seemed to love her and she asked all the right questions. Even knowing things specific to our big breed babies. Two weeks before the stay she texted to confirm then again a few days before our trip to confirm our booking and the time we would be leaving the house. During our trip I got daily updates and pictures and all seemed well. It’s only after we returned from our trip and reviewed our security camera footage( which she knew we had) did we spot big problems. She had someone I’d never met over to our home without letting us know. Which to me is a big violation of my privacy. Also through the security cameras we discovered the last two days of our booking she did not even spend the night at our home leaving my animals alone for 10-11 hours each night. When I brought my concerns to her, her response was an apology only for miscommunication. Which I find entirely ironic since most of her reviews are about how great she is at communicating and I was impressed with her great communication before the stay. I was refunded for the 2 nights she did not stay at my house, but I will not be using this sitter again and based on my experience I cannot recommend her either.

I would like to be informed of any quirks a dog may have. This can include nervous peeing, how often the dog goes out, how often the dog is walked regularly, and how I can best earn the dogs trust. Dogs and cats usually naturally trust me, and I like to make it as easy for them as possible!
A typical day
I love going on walks and exploring new parks that I haven't been to before. I also love playing fetch, as a former softball player. A good cuddle/nap is always on the table if needed for my pet pals.
