I would not trust Ashley again with my pets. We reached out to her, setup a meet and greet, and gave the days and times that we were requesting someone to come to our house, let our dogs out, feed them, walk them if needed, etc. Ashley said that she was available for that schedule. The first two days went fine, and Ashley showed up at our requested times to take care of the dogs. However, after the second day she showed up at varying times the rest of the week. I understand that Ashley may have another job or other responsibilities, but she never communicated this to us. She never asked for the time of day to be changed and on some days, the dogs were left out in the house, without access to go to the bathroom for more than 10 hours. (With the times we requested 10 hours would have been the absolute longest the dogs would have been without access to the bathroom.) On the last two days that Ashley was supposed to sit for us, she texted me that she would not be coming to take care of our dogs. She texted me at the time she was supposed to be at the house to take care of the dogs and so we had to scramble at the last minute to find another sitter who was available. If Ashley had communicated that the schedule wouldn’t work for her, we would have been happy to change to times that better fit her to look for a sitter who could attend to the dogs as needed. Other small complaints that I have are just that she seemed to do the bare minimum when caring for the dogs in way of attention when she was at our house. A few times she forgot to close out the rover care so that it looked like she had been with the dogs for an extended period of time when she wasn’t (this however, could have been bad cell reception and we were not asked to pay extra for these ‘extended’ visits, and our bigger dog (who has never done this previously) was standing up on our plant shelves and physically in the window sill several times while we were gone and ruined/knocked over four of the plants. Once we noticed this, we asked Ashley to please block off access to the window and she did do her best to try to block it off, but the plants were never picked up or cleaned up and we needed to clean up the mess of the plants once we got home. To Ashly’s credit, our dogs were alive, fed and still in our home when we got home.
