I had a family emergency just days after adopting a 10 week old German Shepherd puppy that required me to leave the state. I called Ashley because when I think “dog person” she is the VERY first person to pop into my head. She LOVES dogs. So much. She puts more effort into raising her dogs than some parents do for their own human children, to be honest. I have known her for about 3 years. We actually met at a dog park and became quick friends. Anyway, I asked her if she could stay with my baby, while I went out of state. It was very last minute and she had a pretty crazy work schedule at the time but she’s an awesome friend and she agreed with no hesitation, even knowing this puppy was brand new and came with all the puppy troubles like needing to go out every hour, chewing on things she shouldn’t, etc etc. Due to the unplanned and last minute nature of the whole ordeal, a week long stay at my house didn’t really fit her schedule but she offered to bring my puppy back to her home when she was unable to spend the night at mine so I could rest easily knowing my puppy was never home alone. She took such great care of my baby. She was adamant about consistent feeding times, food portions, potty times, and honestly she pretty much had my puppy potty trained by the time I got back. She also introduced Bella to carrots as a healthy treat and now those are her favorite snack. She sent me a ton of picture updates every day to keep my mind at ease. Entrusting your best friend to someone is such a hard thing to do and I can not thank her enough for how she went out of her way to take care of baby Bella in an emergency.
