Pet care experience
I live in spacious two bedroom condo (with bricked in terrace for playing fetch) across from Rocky Run Park in Arlington, Virginia with lots of places to walk and play in the surrounding area. We are non-smokers and our condo is clean and has hardwood floors. I live with my fiancé, Ryan, who is also a dog lover. Both of us are fully vaccinated. We have a 4-yr-old mixed breed dog, Rocky, who is adopted and a bit hit-or-miss when it comes to making new dog friends. Sometimes he gets anxious so we would want to meet before — if that didn’t work out I have recommendations for other sitters on here! I can also come to your place to stay and I am also able to help care for your cat. While I have more experience with larger breeds, I can take care of or walk smaller ones, too. I also have experience with puppies. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Ashley was so great with our both cats, we would never thought about a more responsible person as her. She handled everything well and stayed even longer to spend time with our cats. Hi, I am Ashley’s boyfriend, Ryan (the guy from the picture with the Westie). I wanted to chime in to say: 1. Ashley is great with dogs; 2. We live together and I will also be around when she is dog-sitting. I've had years of experience with dogs since I was little, and love all breeds and varieties; and 3. Our apartment is a safe, friendly environment and our building is ideal for taking dogs outside for walking.

See above. I have plenty of space to play. When at someone else’s house, I can easily bring my work with me as long as you have WiFi. It’s a nice change of scenery for me, too! Also, if your dog needs a bath, I have both a portable Bark Bath machine and a gentle hose for baths on the patio and all of the grooming materials needed!

I believe all dogs are good dogs. But it’s good to know if they get along with other dogs and with kids (in case we pass by the nearby park). Needing schedule and dietary restrictions are things I need to know, as well as potty schedule. It’s also good to know of any fears such as thunder or other noises and what to do to keep them calm.
A typical day
Walks through the surrounding neighborhood and the park. Lots of pets and cuddles. Fetch outside and hanging out in the patio in the sunshine on good days.

Availability
I still work from home, with the exception of occasional meetings. On the rare occasion that I need to leave for an hour or two, my fiancé would be around and he’s great for animals.
