Lots of love to give your furbaby!

Pet care experience

My love for dogs took me to Horse Creek Wildlife Sanctuary and Animal Refuge in Tennessee during the spring breaks of 2014 and 2015 where I walked dogs morning and afternoon, played with them, and cared for them. They were week long trips where I stayed on the property and was able to bring two dogs home with me some nights instead of them having to sleep in the kennel. I have watched dogs and cats for family friends, and my family had an Australian Cattle Dog of our own for 14 years until she passed away in August 2014. My long term goal, after graduating from USF with a degree in Integrative Animal Biology, is to become a conservation biologist working for endangered species. I believe in giving animals a voice, and I have a natural ability to connect and understand all species. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me!

Ashleigh was a really nice dog sitter! We're glad to have found her. We're sad she's already booked elsewhere for our August trip.

Ashleigh is responsive and responsible. She had no problem taking care of our pup and cat to our expected standards. Will use her again!

Ashleigh was a USF Spring break service participant for the last two years and I was the USF advisor traveling with the group. The service took place at a dog rescue and adoption facility. Our purpose was to socialize the dogs, some very traumatized, in the shelter. Even the shyest dogs responded to Ashleigh's gentle but confident manner. She played a major part in helping them on their way to loving new homes. Ashleigh is trustworthy, sincere, caring and your pets will love her!

I understand that, just like people, dogs have different temperaments and personalities. I am happy to cater to your dog's needs and wants. I have worked with very timid dogs that took their time to come near me, but by the end of my stay they were jumping at the door to see me. I have also worked with boisterous and hyper dogs, so I'm not unfamiliar with having to keep things under control. My dog (Holly) was blind in her last years of life and a dog I volunteered with in Tennessee (Ester) was deaf, so I am comfortable being with dogs with disabilities. My main goal is to make you and your fur baby happy!

A typical day

I'm the person that plays with the pets the entire time when I go to birthday parties and movie nights at friend's houses. If there are doggy toys, they will be utilized! I am happy to take your dogs on walks, to sit on the floor and play with them, or to take naps with them as my friend's Great Dane, Diesel, used to appreciate. Tell me what your dog loves to do, and I'll see it done!
