We are all here with one thing in common…our love for dogs! This gig is my favorite line of work as it includes my two favorite hobbies, going for walks and loving on dogs. Even the short spurts of time where I didn’t own my own dog I often would reach out to borrow friends or coworkers dogs to accompany me on my hikes or walks. Unlike some of my friends, I’ve never met a dog who didn’t exhibit a full body wiggle when asked to join me for a walk! A dog is truly a human’s best friend and am a firm believer in this. I’ve loved dogs and had a special connection with them my whole life. So much that I got my degree as Veterinary Technician and worked in the field for several years. I learned a lot about medicine and administering it, helping with surgery, assisting in delivering and caring for puppies, cpr, nutrition and most of all dog behavior. My experience in the veterinary field has made me confident and knowledgeable when it comes to handling and caring for a vast selection of dog breeds and many dogs with different medical needs or behavioral issues. I’m strong enough to handle rambunctious large block headed goofballs and gentle enough to care for even the smallest peanuts of dogs. I’ve owned mostly American Bulldogs as an adult but enjoy dogs of all shapes and sizes! With my experience I am privy to behavioral cues and have worked with submissive fearful dogs as well as dogs that require caution around strangers and other dogs. I understand that like people, all dogs have different needs and personalities and am dedicated to catering to them to the best of my ability. It’s second nature to protect and treat every dog with the care and compassion as I have exhibited with my own fur babies because of my love for these animals.
