A Pawsome Duo with a Love for Animals!

Pet care experience

Hi there! We're the Pawsome Duo, a newlywed couple who share a love for all things furry and four-legged. We live together in a cozy flat with our cat, Panther, who's the boss of the household. Ash has never been allowed to own dogs as her parents were adamant, but has experience of looking after and walking her neighbours dogs from a young age. Lori has a horse named Folly, who lives at her mum's stables, and we both have years of experience caring for a variety of animals. We've looked after everything from cats and dogs to horses, hamsters, snakes…and even snails, so we know what it takes to provide top-notch care for your furry friends. Sadly, Lori's Alaskan Malamute, Scar, passed away a couple of years ago, but we still cherish the memories we made with him. He was a loyal and loving companion who taught us a lot about the joys of pet ownership. But since then, before we moved out of Lori’s mothers home, she adopted 2 (very large) Spanish Mastin’s called Bob and Leo, who we have had the most fun looking after and walking them, which we still do now. When it comes to pet care, we believe in providing personalized and attentive care for each and every pet we work with. We understand that every pet has unique needs and preferences, and we're committed to providing the highest quality of care possible. If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy pet carer, look no further than the Pawsome Duo!

Lori and Ash are very friendly and have great experience working with dogs and we felt very trusted in their services. They also helped us to do some recall training which was fantastic and we highly recommended and will use their services again in the future. Thank you both!

Information Ashleigh & Lori F. would like to know about your pet

It's important to have as much information as possible about your pet ahead of time in order to provide the best possible care. Here are some key pieces of information that are important to know: Medical history: It is important to know if your pet has any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, or requires medication so that you can provide appropriate care and take necessary precautions. Behavioural issues: If your pet has any behavioural issues, such as separation anxiety, fear of other dogs, or aggression, it is important to know so that you can take steps to manage their behaviour and keep them safe. Diet and feeding schedule: Knowing your dog's diet and feeding schedule is important so that you can ensure they receive the proper nutrition and avoid any potential stomach upset. Exercise needs: Understanding your pet's exercise needs and preferred activities will help us provide appropriate physical and mental stimulation during their care. Emergency contact information: It is important to have the owner's contact information, as well as the contact information for their veterinarian and any emergency contacts, in case of an unexpected situation. By knowing this information ahead of time, we can provide the best possible care for your pet and ensure that their stay is comfortable, safe, and enjoyable!

A typical day

For high-energy dogs, we enjoy taking them on long walks or runs in local parks or trails. We also love playing fetch, tug-of-war, or frisbee with them in the nearby parks. For more relaxed dogs, we're happy to spend time cuddling, giving belly rubs, and playing with their favourite toys. We also enjoy exploring new places. We have a few special spots in mind, such as hiking trails, or dog-friendly restaurants, but we're always open to suggestions and willing to try new things. Overall, our goal is to provide a safe, fun, and engaging experience for the dogs we watch. We believe that a mix of exercise, playtime, and relaxation is key to keeping them happy and healthy while their owners are away.
