Pet care experience
With 15+ years of animal ownership I'm looking to branch out into professional animal care and quality training. I have experience with dogs, cats and even lizards too and can help you with your pet needs including small caged animals (rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs) I'd be happy to help with. The only animals I wouldn't be comfortable with would be birds or snakes. I have experience with small to medium breeds, basic grooming (brushing, de-shedding, cleaning ears, trimming nails, brushing teeth) and am working on becoming a certified service dog trainer. I've recently been accepted as a Good Dog responsible breeder for pomskies and hope to expand my training and handling experience by working with families and various types of dogs in my community. Ashleigh took excellent care of our Shih Tzu, Dexter! She went above and beyond caring for him by communicating with us before and after every visit, sending photos, taking in packages, washing the dog food container, and even checking in after her last visit to see if we made it back home. Also, we were expecting really bad weather and she came up with a plan for Dexter should weather hit. I highly recommend Ashleigh to anyone looking for a top notch dog sitter! We will definitely use her again in the future!

Ashleigh has always been great with all animals. She has cared for my 3 dogs several times (also my cat), and all the dogs love to see her. She genuinely cares about them being happy, and is always resourceful in helping us find care for them if she cannot personally help us. I highly recommend her to anyone searching for a caregiver for their fur baby.

I would love to know about your dogs special needs, dietary restrictions, medications or behavior issues. I have children and pets in my own home and the safety of all is my absolute first priority. Food aggressive or any aggressive behavior towards small animals or children is something I may not be able to accommodate at this time. As I learn more training techniques and build my skills, I'd be happy to assist at a later time.
A typical day
I love to work on practicing obedience training opportunities. Socializing dogs in my area, I live very close to a dog park and I would love to let them explore safely at the park or in the neighborhood while leash training.
