Home care by a Registered Vet Nurse for your pets
Pet care experience
I grew up around dogs, cats, horses and small furries too. As I grew up, I gravitated toward the sciences academically. Naturally, Vet Nursing appealed to me as a career as a way to combine my love for animals and their health and care. I went to uni and got my degree in VN and Practice Management, qualifying in 2019. To get there and throughout I gained a lot of work experience in all sorts of animal care scenarios. Since graduation I’ve worked in vet practices and love getting to know animals, their requirements and their owners too :) I work shifts in an emergency clinic - mostly night work. I’m rewarded with lieu time for my unsociable hours which means I often have blocks of time wherein my days and nights are free. With notice, I can make most time requirements work for you. As a nurse, I am used to ascertaining quickly the needs of a pet and their owner. I am flexible and able to provide most services. In my home, dogs and cats used to a small friendly dog are welcome, as well as other species at discussion. I have rooms dedicated for boarders, but if they crave affection then they’re encouraged to spend time with me as if they’re part of my little family (me and my dog!). Crating is an option if it makes your pet feel safe and secure, all I ask is that they’re not noisy as I am in a terrace with neighbours I like to consider. My garden is large and secure, astroturfed with soil borders which usually caters for fussy toilet-goers and means and diggers can’t cause any damage too! In your home, I am happy to meet your requirements. From simple checks for toilet breaks to company and enrichment provisions up to house sitting even including pet related cleaning services of your home too, at discussion. As a nurse, I am competent and happy to manage medication routines as well as other individual needs.
Reviews
Thank you Ashleigh for looking after my boys. They seems really calm when I got home and I loved the fact Bailey was great with having someone he didn't know in the house. I loved the photo updates. 10/10.
Ashleigh looked after my two cats whilst I was away and did a great job! Ashleigh was great at keeping in touch and sent photos of the fur babies whilst visiting them. I would recommend her with no hesitation and I’m likely to book with her again if she’s free :)
Ashleigh is superb. I know Bob is so safe in her hands. She is diligent, caring and a wise safeguarder. She is also dependable and has been so flexible about my disability. Can't recommend enough.
This was my dog’s first time being left while we were away for a few nights and he couldn’t have been in better hands! Ashleigh went above and beyond in looking after him and giving him a great time with visits to the stables and long walks. He had an absolute beano! Ashleigh kept us up to date with lovely photos and info in what he’d been up to. Ashleigh is incredibly professional and reliable. I strongly recommend her services. Our dog, Casper, loves her!

Information Ashleigh B. would like to know about your pet
What makes your pet happy? My goal is to achieve that - whatever it takes. Treats? Friends? Walks/runs? Naps on the sofa? Learning a new trick? Let me know!
A typical day
I’m based near one of the best parks in Lancaster for dog walking so there’s plenty of opportunities for exploring and playing there. If dogs are familiar with horses too there’s the option of them coming to play with other friendly dogs up at the stables I go to daily. Off lead options are therefore safe if that’s something important to you and your dog.
